Ben is back competing after recovering from Leukaemia last year. He had a decent dressage aboard"Arco BB" though he felt the judges could have been more generous.

This year's official charity at the Equi-Trek Bramham International is Parkinson's UK. Chriss Fielden is the regional fundraiser for Yorkshire and Humberside.

The final four week countdown has begun ahead of this year’s Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials (9- 12 June). There’s now some warmth to the sun to green up the Park, the estate crew are busy preparing and the event team are organising every detail so the action packed four days are better than ever before. The competition has added excitement this time as it’s an Olympic year and we’ll be creating a carnival atmosphere of our own – no need for a trip to Rio! Although a few riders will be hoping that their performance in Yorkshire does secure a ticket on the plane.

At the other end of the spectrum to the top pros with their huge horse boxes and support team is Charlotte Brear. The Leeds rider has competed at the 3 star senior level with just her mum and dog as back up!

Ian Woodhead a professional equestrian trainer to some of the top names in the sport including Nicola Wilson and Ollie Townend – but also a proud dad having seen his daughter Holly win the Under 25 CCI at Bramham

Dani Evans came second and third in the Under 25 CCI at Bramham riding Smart Time and Raphael the second.

Another Yorkshire winner at Bramham as Holly Woodhead won the under 25 CCI event. She went clear on DHI Lupison in the showjumpion to finish ahead of her great friend Dani Evans
