And they've also found themselves in strange and uncharted lands: mining for cryptocurrency and experimenting in sensory deprivation chambers - no joke! Episode 284 :: Zelda Carts Give You the Breath of the Wild
15/03/2017 Duración: 01h14minDo you love that not-so-fresh feeling? Do you delight in the mouth stank that comes with sleeping in the wilderness and necking with bokoblins on lonely nights? You crave the Breath of the Wild! Join Cap, boR, Brandon, and Jon as we examine this vastly different installment in the Zelda series: gameplay, storyline, and yes... flavor. We also discuss our quest to procure Nintendo Switches, and our experiences with the new system. While their carts might taste like poison, is this the breath of fresh air Nintendo needs to get back in the game? While the Big N might dominate the discussion, there's still room for other nerditudes, like Overwatch's Orisa, the grizzled, hard-R Old Man Logan, and our discovery of a fascinating and horrible late 90s reality show from Japan that locked a man named "Eggplant" naked in a room for a year, surviving only by winning magazine contests. Delicious! For links and more info, head to the main episode page: http://nerdyshow.com/2017/03/nerdy-show-284-zelda-carts-give-you-the-b

Interview: Fatal Farm Returns to Lasagna Cat
07/03/2017 Duración: 01h08minChances are good that at some point you've seen a video created by Fatal Farm. They're a duo of FX wizards who specialize in subversion and surrealism, and whose work is as hilarious as it is head-scratching. They've done sketches for Key & Peele, had a hand in two Adult Swim specials, are the brains behind the notorious penis-exploding scene in Our RoboCop Remake, and nearly 10 years ago, unleashed three incredible web series on an unsuspecting world, including their crown jewel: Lasagna Cat. Lasagna Cat is a "tribute" to the works of Jim Davis - live action reenactments of Garfield strips put into a psychic blender. We've been revisiting these videos for years... and all of a sudden there's more of them... and a 1-800 number sex survey. Sound confusing? Never fear - all will be explained. Cap is joined by Fatal Farm (Zach Johnson and Jeffery Max) as they peel off the cat suit and expose the series' unmentionables. Learn why (and how) they collected 1000 people's sexual information, hear about the years

Episode 282 :: My Farty Valentine
15/02/2017 Duración: 01h16minValentine's Day may have come and gone, but its pungent perfume lingers thick in the air. Whether you've got the post-V-Day blues or or are a regular polyamorous Poe Dameron - Nerdy Show has got the comedown you need: the robust voice of Flame On's Jarrod Pope. Join Cap, boR, Brandon, and Jarrod's sumptuous pipes as they take a tumble with a plethora of pop culture. We give our first impressions on two recently-debuted comic book TV shows that are decidedly not about superheroes (Legion and Powerless), review the based-on-a-true-story(ish) medieval fantasy game, Nioh, and share our excitement for forthcoming projects like Adi Shankar and Warren Ellis' Castlevania. But oh, dear listener, that's far from all - we also call a 1-800 number to attempt to reactivate a webseries about Garfield and abuse Jarrod's sexy voice with some nerdy pick-up line recommendations from your favorite lil' stinker: Brandon. Nerdy Show Review: The LEGO Batman Movie
04/02/2017 Duración: 33minHear our spoiler-free LEGO Batman Movie review! Will Arnett's brooding and hilariously self-absorbed Batman returns in a send-up to every incarnation of the caped crusader and his ginormous gallery of villains. Nerdy Show Review: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
17/11/2016 Duración: 18minWhen The Nerdy Show Network’s flagship podcast isn’t unloading on the latest geek news and happenings, we’re diving deep into super-specific discussions and interviews. In this case the specific discussion at hand is a stand-alone film review of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - the first film set in J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World not revolving around Harry Potter. You might recall back in 2013, our lukewarm feelings towards a film adaptation of the in-universe textbook, followed by a rising enthusiasm earlier this year when details of a more elaborate story came into view and the article series History of Magic in North America began its release, leading up to the film. Join Doug and Nina as they share their feelings on the film, fresh from an early screening - opening with a spoiler-free review and then switching gears to unrestricted discussions about what transpires and modern film's ever present nemesis: the clunky third act.
