It's midweek madness - don't ask, just play. This week, every single video game is being adapted into a movie or TV series. We play Reindeer Games, Jenna gives a first impression rose to Praey for the Gods, and JD asks if the first impression of a game is the only one that actually matters.

It's just JD and Peterson this week and we go rogue and go...long. We are talking the Good, Bad, and Ugly of Roguelikes. Peterson reviews Alina of the Arena and his Dice of Destiny game, Bioshock.

Hold on to your butts 'cause it's a long one. We talk about the Activision Blizzard/Microsoft acquisition (a lot), Wordle windfall, Battlefield 2042 rumor, Lego game crunch, and the state of the industry. Trent graces us with a brilliant song (written by JD, performed by Trent, stuck in the head of Peterson). Peterson gives us his gaming resolutions, we talk about Activision IPs Microsoft should revive, and Peterson reviews Project Zomboid.

Phil Spencer channels his inner sigma energy, Logan Paul drops $3.5 million on fraudulent Pokemon cards, Lego drops Blizzard, and gaming has infiltrated the makeup space. Later, we talk about foods we got addicted to during the pandemic, make some gaming New Year's resolutions, and things take a dark turn into The Road territory.

It's time to wrap up 2021 with a bow, so we reveal our BLURSTIES winners for last year, review how accurate our predictions were, and talk about our gaming highlights for 2021. Then we make some new predictions for 2022 and JD fantasizes about the new Fallout TV series.

JD delivers some heartbreaking Star Wars Eclipse news, Henry Cavill wants to play Commander Shepard, and we figure out that NFTs are bad. We talk about what real-world achievements we unlocked in 2021, which debuffs we picked up, and what new skills we upgraded. Later, Jenna gives her First Impression Rose to Biomutant, and then we roll some fresh Dice of Destiny.

It's that time of year again, when we run through our annual Worst in Gaming awards!! For part one, we're submitting nominations for Worst Studio, Worst Launch, Worst Sequel, Worst Name, Worst Gamer Rage, and Biggest Disappointment.

Peterson and Trent join JD to talk about all the games that were announced at the VGAs, including Wonder Woman, Alan Wake 2, Star Wars Eclipse, and of course, Sonic Frontier. JD gets tricked by a tech demo. We finally figure out a way to limit how much we talk about Activision (thank goodness), but there's still GameStop news. Later, we wrap up by pondering which game IPs need an open world treatment.

This week is only bad news, but the one bit of good news is that Peterson is here to help soften the blow. We talk yet more Activision Blizzard nonsense and dig into PlayStation's Game Pass. Later, JD asks which game series you'd want to end after its first entry, and then we play Crew Carry Kill with Christmas movie characters. Peterson gives a First Impression Rose to Forza Horizon 5 and JD gives kudos to White Castle.

Jackson is back with JD and Trent to break down a small slate of news from Thanksgiving weekend, including a trucker in Japan who stole a truckload of PS5s. Then, we talk about Christmas gifts we couldn't live without and finish up by turning Christmas movies into tabletop games.Oh and Trent finally gets around to his Dice of Destiny review of Deathloop!

Peterson returns! Joining Aaron and JD, the indomitable Peterson dives right back into the mess that is the gaming industry by breaking down the latest Activision drama from Bobby Kotick. We also dig more into the GTA remaster debacle and talk about what Warner Bros. properties we want to see in the Smash Bros.-esque Multiversus. Then we wrap up with foodio games straight outta the 7-Eleven - stick around for JD's ICEE mind bender.

This week JD and Trent welcome on the man behind the laugh, Jackson, who brings his wisdom of Conker's Bad Fur Day and Pokemon to the table. Ubisoft is still a mess, and Activision Blizzard is no longer the most valuable gaming company in the US. We also talk about the disastrous GTA Trilogy launch and some great news for Hogwarts fans. Later, we discuss things from older games that developers wouldn't be able to get away with today.

Aaron's back! New World is dropping 100k players/week, Blizzard's only female executive is leaving after just 3 months in the role, and Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 have both been delayed. Then we step into the metaverse to talk about what our second life might look like, and what battles we'd want to reenact in VR.Oh! Apologies about the sound issues - we lost our audio halfway through and had to recover it.

Jenna, Trent, and JD take on leaf season and pray for winter. BlizzCon was cancelled, Nintendo's new online service is broken, and Activision's CEO has taken a huge paycut. We get into the Good, Bad, and Ugly of playing older games, then we talk about beating games in a single sitting. JD also reviews Injustice: Gods Among Us.

This week JD and Trent try and fail to understand how NFTs work, talk about Xbox's failure to meet sales targets, and dig more into the Twitch leak. Then we reveal the best year in both our respective gaming careers, and finally compare difficulty in video games to food. We get really mad at Wendy's.
