Nerds With Alcohol Show

We start off by getting off track right away with talk of Critical Role.  We get into some comic discussion.  We spend a bit of time on the question "what is the heroes' journey?"  We mention that we were doing this on talk like a pirate day.  We discuss some of the speculation on who will be Doctor Doom in the MCU.  We also talk about episode 5 of Ahsoka, and so much more.

This week we talk about the release of Baldur's Gate 3 for the PlayStation 5, and give an initial review of game play, look, and feel.  We discuss some current events.  We get into the trailer for the trailer of Aquaman 2.  We talk a little about the latest episode of Ahsoka and the first two episodes of Lower Decks but since Russ hadn't seen them yet we don't go into depth.  Plus all the side conversations, and interacting with our live chatters. 

This week we talk about how Russ almost lost the hat he is known for.  We mention the loss of Jimmy Buffet.  We talk a little Fantasy Football.  We get into the latest episode of Ahsoka.  We keep the Baldur's Gate 3 discussion down to just a few minutes.  There's some MCU news, as well as current events mixed in there too.

This week we say good-bye to Arleen Sorkin, the original Harley Quinn, and the great Bob Barker.  We also talk a little bit about Baldur's Gate 3.  We discuss the Michigan Renaissance Festival.  We talk about nerdy cookbooks, specifically the new one Russ was given.  We finish things off with our discussion of the first two episodes of Ahsoka, as well as trying to explain to someone that Star Wars and Star Trek are not in the same universe, or even multi-verse.

This week we talk about the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 cliffhanger finale.  We also discuss how this is a Star Trek trope, and how due to the strikes in Hollywood it may very well be quite some time before we get resolution.  We also discuss the good news/bad news about Blue Beetle's opening weekend.  We get into more Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough thoughts.  We also touch on Zack Snyder's new project for Netflix; Rebel Moon, and a whole lot more.

The write up for this week is pretty easy.  We really only spend time on two topics this week and it takes the entire show.  We talk about the outstanding Star Trek Strange New Worlds musical episode.  We then turn the discussion the the release of Baldur's Gate 3 and our beginning experiences and thoughts.

This week we discuss the last half of the Secret Invasion show, including the conclusion.  We give our thoughts and look back at the last several shows that Marvel has produced, plus we talk about the Loki Season 2 trailer.  We get into the several recent celebrity deaths.  We talk about Baldur's Gate III coming out.  All this plus the usual side tracks and shenanigans.

This week we talk about the crossover episode we've been waiting for.  That's right Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks do an combo animated/live action crossover.  So much fun.  We also talk about the Barbenheimer opening weekend numbers.  We have an we're getting old moment and we also get into a bunch of other nerdy topics.

This week Renee joins us again to talk nerdy.  We discuss Shazam: Fury of the Gods. (Spoilers) We talk a lot about the last 2 episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as a little discussion of other Star Trek shows.  We have a longer than usual talk about beers and malt liquor.  We also get into some of the news from the new James Gunn DCU.  All this and a lot more.

This week there is a lot to talk about.  We discuss the new Dune Part 2 trailer.  We get into the WGA strike and how SAG-AFTRA members would be joining them on the picket lines.  We talk about the Ahsoka trailer and who the baddies might be.  We also talk about the new Superman animated series on Max, the Wonka trailer, the Skull Island animated series, and a whole lot more.

We recorded this on the American holidy of Independence Day, aka 4th of July.  With that you get to hear us talk about our frustration with people setting off fireworks, as well as hear some fireworks going off in the background, also appearing to cause some mic issues.  We also discuss the latest episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Marvel's Secret Invasion.  We also talk about the disappointing opening weekend for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, plus a whole lot more.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is back and we discuss the first two episodes.  We also talk about the Witcher returning this week to Netflix.  We also give our impression of the first episode of Disney Plus' latest Marvel installment; Secret Invasion.  There is also the return of Futurama, again to talk about.  We give our thoughts on the casting announcements for the upcoming James Gunn Superman movie.  Plus, talk about dogs, alcohol, and much more.

This week one of our fans drops a nerd bomb right at the beginning of the show starting us down a D&D rabbit hole.  We talk a bunch of old school D&D including the old cartoon and 1st Edition.  We move on from that to get into movie openings, including The Flash and Elemental.  We talk about the 2008 Dragonlance animated film.  We also discuss some comic book news.

This week we talk quite a bit about video game news that's coming out in what would have been E3 had it not been canceled.  We discuss some TV and movie news as well.  At the end we get into a heated discussion that really boiled down to "what is art?"
