Mark Lawrence and John Shipman host Judy Silverstein-Gray, author, retired US Coast Guard chief petty officer, on her book, Unwavering: The Wives Who Fought To Ensure No Man Was Left Behind, and Nada Gray, former manager of Lewisburg, and very active community member, advocate and leader. Judy talked about the remarkable book that chronicles the dramatic story of women back home to bring POW/MIAs back from Vietnam. The captured men were forgotten nationally, and militarily, but the women locally took action, pushed Washington, fought the US military establishment and worked to save the men, and remember them. Their work changed the US Armed Forces today this day. During open phones, we discussed the US Supreme Court affirmative action decision. Lynda Schlegal Culver appeared on the show and presented Mark with a PA Senate Citation for his decades of work at WKOK and in the community. Ben Reichley, Kevin Herr and Matt Catrillo also thanked Mark.
