Forest scored goals at crucial times, with Morgan Gibbs-White scoring early, and Chris Wood at the end of the first half, before Taiwo Awoniyi finally got his goal in stoppage time to seal the win. Wolves did threaten but weren't sharp enough in front of goal and Matz Sels kept out the rest. Tom Newton reports back from Molineux, and along with Rich Ferraro debates the tactics and what made Forest great in this one. Unfortunately we also have to discuss the vile chanting aimed at Morgan Gibbs-White and his family, before thinking ahead to the Luton cup match. We are grateful to Dave Azzopardi from Talking Wolves, who provides the view from the opposition. Subscribe to 1

Forest won away, making it five on the bounce, and putting them into second place in the Premier League! A goal and an assist for Chris Wood showcased the Reds' ability on the counter-attack, with Morgan Gibbs-White getting the second, and it could have been more with Sosa, Williams, Elanga and Awoniyi forcing decent saves from Jordan Pickford. A toothless Everton were no match for Milenković and Morato at centre back. George Edwards reports back from Goodison, with a view from the home end by a rather frustrated Mike from the Unholy Trinity Podcast. Presented by Rich Ferraro with The 1865 Podcat. • Nottingham Forest 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur: The 1865 Match Report

    27/12/2024 Duración: 35min

It was a misty afternoon on the banks of the Trent and a Happy Christmas for Reds fans, who watched their team climb to third in the table with a victory over Spurs. As ever, it was built on defensive resolve and counter-attacking might, with Anthony Elanga getting the decisive strike. At the other end, former Red Brennan Johnson came closest, but his promotion-winning alumnus Djed Spence was probably pick of the visiting players, despite his late sending off. Rich Ferraro is joined by Baz to discuss the game, the tactics and the yellow cards! We'll be back after the Everton game on the 29th - come on you Reds! • Brentford 0-2 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

    23/12/2024 Duración: 45min

It was another impressive victory for the Reds, this time inflicting Brentford's first defeat at the GTech Community Stadium this season, and keeping a clean sheet to boot. Nuno elected to stiffen up the defence by moving to a back three, and although Forest arguably took a little while to warm up, the result was never in doubt once Ola Aina put the visitors in front, with Anthony Elanga taking advantage of mistake to double the lead in the second half. Our match report is brought to you by George Edwards and Tom Newton, both fresh back from west London. Stay tuned for a festive edition of our Football Terrorists podcast on Christmas Eve, before we bring you reports on the games against Tottenham and Everton. • Nottingham Forest 2-1 Aston Villa: The 1865 Match Report

    16/12/2024 Duración: 45min

It was a brilliant last gasp win for the Reds in a match that had it all - a war of tactical attrition, controversial VAR decisions, one of the greatest saves in modern football history and two late goals pushing the Reds into fourth (FOURTH) position in the Premier League. George Edwards and The Maradona Of The Midlands report after a cold night in Nottingham that saw the City Ground heat up in the last thirty minutes. Nuno was happy, Emery was not, but nights like this give Forest supporters belief that maybe we are watching the real deal. We'll be back later on this week with our news roundup and Brentford preview. • Manchester United 2-3 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

    09/12/2024 Duración: 38min

Almost thirty years to the day since a number 10 from Stafford scored a winning goal for Forest at Old Trafford, history pretty much repeated itself. It was a little nerve-wracking at times but in truth Forest were really good value for the win, which lifted them to fifth place in the Premier League table. Steven Toplis and Tom Newton report on a great day for Forest fans, in which goals from Milenković, Gibbs-White and a record-setting finish from Chris Wood saw the Reds take the points. We'll be back with the Friday 5 at the end of the week and our Villa report after next Saturday evening's game. • Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

    06/12/2024 Duración: 33min

Like the Arsenal match, Forest were well-beaten in this one, but unlike that game, it could have felt a bit different if Forest had taken their chances at some crucial moments. Alas, it was not to be, and don't be fooled by Man City's recent form - with de Bruyne in the team they are still very much part of the Premier League elite. Rich is joined by Adam for a report from behind enemy lines, as goals from Bernardo Silva, de Bruyne and Doku settled this encounter and the Reds were tactically sewn up by Pep. We'll be back with your match report after the second part of the Manchester double-header at the weekend. • Nottingham Forest 1-0 Ipswich Town: The 1865 Match Report

    01/12/2024 Duración: 35min

A much needed victory for the Reds after two heavy defeats, with Chris Wood's penalty making the difference. Ipswich were good value and it took a first half clearance off the line by Ola Aina to preserve the clean sheet. However, once Forest were in the lead they were probably the better team, despite the away side's late efforts. Our match report is brought to you by Baz and Tom. We'll be back with match reports from the two away games in Manchester in the next week. In the meantime, Forest are top six, and are MASSIVE. • Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

    24/11/2024 Duración: 37min

A really disappointing result as the Reds were taken to the sword by Arsenal. Like in the Newcastle game before, our opponents were clearly 2-3 years (at least) ahead of us in their development and Forest did crumble a bit. With no Gibbs-White or Anderson, and Wood only on the bench, Forest simply didn't create enough and paid the price, with Bukayo Saka scoring against us like he always does. Match report by George Edwards with wisdom from Dom Allin from Over The Trent podcast. • Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle United: The 1865 Match Report

    11/11/2024 Duración: 36min

Alas, Forest's good run came to an end, as Newcastle United came to the City Ground and put us to the sword. Ultimately the best team won and after the Chelsea-Arsenal game, the Reds moved down to fifth in a very tight Premier League table. It was a real shame for Murillo who finally scored his first Forest goal, but Newcastle played Forest at their own game and took their chances well. Referee Anthony Taylor was possibly lenient with a few decisions (Ryan Yates being the main beneficiary) but at least he didn't affect the outcome - it wasn't all about him today. Hosted by Rich Ferraro with Baz, and Newcastle viewpoint from Jack Stanley of Toon Under podcast. We'll be back later in the week to celebrate another win by the Women's Team, as well as our regular Friday news roundup. Thanks for listening.
