Stamford Chidge and Chelsea Legend, Kerry Dixon, discuss last weekends Cup game against Peterborough and in particular the performances of Batshuayi, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek and Zouma. Kerry has some interesting and perhaps unexpected things to say about the return of Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth and taking of Bournemouth, would JT really give up the last 6 months of his Chelsea career to go on loan there? Kerry also gives us his view on the news that planning permission has been given to Chelsea to redevelop Stamford Bridge and tells us what the ground and the area means to him. Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea Legend Kerry Dixon to look back at the defeat against Spurs which ended our 13 match winning run and to look forward to the 3rd Round FA Cup tie against Peterborough this weekend. Whilst downhearted by the defeat to rivals Sp*rs last night Chidge and Kerry take comfort in the fact that Chelsea are still five points clear at top of the league. In truth the match was a cagey, scrappy and tight affair and decided by fine margins. As Gary Cahill said, we'll go again! Looking to the 3rd Round FA Cup tie against Peterborough on Sunday Kerry recalls some of his experiences playing for Chelsea in the FA Cup as well as pondering some of the changes Conte may make to the side. Will John Terry get a game? He is the only player still at Chelsea who played the last time we met Peterborough in the Cup in 2001. Chidge and Kerry go down memory lane to 1988 - a very typical Chelsea season at the time, where we became the only First division club to be relegated in a play off...to Middlesbrough. Kerry also talks about winning the much vaunted (!) Full Members Cup against Middlesbrough in 1990. Looking ahead to the match against 'Boro, although the home side have had decent results recently against City and Arsenal, Kerry is confident of another win to keep the Blues rolling along and hopefully be the top of the table by 6.00 pm Sunday.
