Jesus' resurrection is a critical component to Him being the Son of God and validating His claims for our lives. Listen as Pastor Matthew unpacks 1 Corinthians 15.

I Cor 14:1 sets the tone for this message: Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. Pastor Matthew discusses that God has a purpose for Church and a purpose for us using the gifts!

The church has been charged to partner with the Holy Spirit to communicate the gospel and confirm the gospel. And when operating in the gifts of the Spirit, it must be done with love, or it may become simply an annoyance.

The Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit gave gifts to mankind. In Chapter 12 of Corinthians, Paul explains the gifts the Holy Spirit gave. Pastor Matthew walks us through the chapter, laying a foundation of the gifts of the Spirit.

The Corinthian church was creating chaos in their gatherings. Chapter 11 discusses two main issues in the church in Corinth: Headship and Communion. Chapter 11 can be confusing at first until you understand the customs and prevailing wrong thinking that Paul was addressing.

Christian Freedom is seen best in what we do to serve others not in what we do for ourselves.

Social status is the level of social value a person is considered to hold. Don’t filter your life through categories of status, filter it through contentment & assignment.

We didn't create the rules of life, but we often want to rebel or at least change them a little... Jesus said it like this, “if you love me, keep my commandments.” Love moves us into a lifestyle of honor!

Comparison is a trap and tactic of the enemy. Comparison most often is seen in two ways: 1. Competition. 2. Criticism. In reality, we are co-workers, building together. .. and we and the building are better, when working as the Body, the way God intended.

We continue through the I Corinthians, Chapter 2.

Paul wrote this letter to the church he started in Corinth. It was written in AD56. This was his second letter, but his first has been lost. Paul was in Corinth for 18 months, during which he planted this church. 1. God can transform any heart. Paul an Apostle (God can transform you) 2. Church is God’s idea. 3. Church is where those transformed by the power of the cross, discover their gifts and put them into practice, participating in a way that helps other hearts be transformed too.

The Practice of Obedience helps us mature beyond receiving the love of God, into living a life of holiness that reveals the love of God.

The role of Holy Spirit in a believer's life cannot be overstated. In this message, we talk about baptism and the mark of the Holy Spirit.
