Sunday Thoughts From Fr. Edward Looney

Have you asked God for a sign? Should you? It’s a good question to reflect on.

We have expectations. The people of Israel had expectations. John expected the coming of Jesus. The bishop during the Guadalupe apparitions expected Juan to be a fraud. What do you expect of Jesus. Why not a miracle?

Mary was without sin. I wonder if people noticed how different she was from everyone else. I reflect on who she was in this Immaculate Conception homily.

What voices do you listen to? People listened to John and so should we. But what voice is the most important?
