127 - "Best of 3" - Toronto Raptors Talk
23/05/2019 Duración: 54minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! Just like that, the Raptors have tied the series at 2 games a piece. With Kawhi clearly laboring with a leg injury suffered in Game 3, it was imperative for the rest of the lineup to step up and ease the pressure off of him for Game 4. The team answered the call, with the bench consisting of Norman Powell, Fred VanVleet, and Serge Ibaka combining for 48 points. Couple that with the effort exhibited by Kyle Lowry who had 25 points at 6 of 11 shooting, it was exactly what the Raptors needed. Heading into Game 5 in Milwaukee, it’s important for the Raptors to keep their foot on the gas in their quest to play in the NBA Finals. To recap Game 4 and preview Game 5, host Adam Corsair is joined by Demar Grant. 126 - "Double OT" - Toronto Raptors Talk
21/05/2019 Duración: 53minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk After being down 0-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Raptors were once again faced with a must-win game to maintain their footing in this series. With their backs against the wall, they headed back to Toronto to defend home court. With the help of Kawhi Leonard, Norman Powell, and an outstanding bounce-back game from Marc Gasol, the Raptors were able to claim victory in a grueling Double Overtime effort to cut the Bucks’ lead to one game. With their sights now on Game 4 and staying in Toronto, the team looks to even up the series and their quest for an NBA Finals appearance and a championship. To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Samson Folk of Raptors Republic and host of their official podcast - the Rapcast. 125 - "House Money" - Toronto Raptors Talk
17/05/2019 Duración: 54minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk As the Raptors approached Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bucks, we as fans knew that this would be challenging. The Bucks are arguably the best and deepest team in the entire NBA and have the ability to truly challenge the Raptors at almost every level. Yet, for the vast majority of Game 1, Raptors fans were sitting quite comfortably as the team seemed to have a grip on victory. That is, of course, until the 4th quarter. With the Raptors losing their grip on the W largely due to Brook Lopez’s outside shooting, the team find themselves in an early hole down 0-1 in this best of 7 series. To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Lior Kozai of Def Pen Hoops. Lior and Adam touch on a bunch of topics related to the Eastern Conference Finals, such as: - Down 0-1 - Strong Quarters - Lowry Shows Up - Lopez’s Shooting - Predictions It’s a Raptors’ show you WON’T want to miss! 124 - "Poetry" - Toronto Raptors Talk
14/05/2019 Duración: 01h10minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! My god. It couldn’t have been scripted any better. In a sequence that was 18 years in the making, it was simply poetic justice for the Toronto Raptors. A back and forth contest between the Raptors and the 76ers kept fans of both teams in suspense in what could possibly be the greatest game in Toronto Raptors’ history. This is why Masai made the trade for Kawhi Leonard in July of 2018. This is why you trade away the franchise player in DeMar DeRozan; for moments like this. Just incredible. To break down the entire game and previewing the Eastern Conference Finals, host Adam Corsair is joined by the Icon… the Showstopper… the Main Event… the Entertaining & Sexy - Mr. Peter “HB” Kaye of Life in Repeat. 123 - "Déjà Vu" - Toronto Raptors Talk
11/05/2019 Duración: 49minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk So it’s come down to this. Once again, the Raptors find themselves in a do-or-die position with their backs against the wall, coming back to Toronto for Game 7 against the 76ers. Much like the 2001 Playoff series, the two teams will battle it out for the right to face the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Unlike 2001, though, the Raptors will have home-court advantage for Game 7. To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Hunter Surphlis of Take 6ix and the Take 6ix Podcast. Hunter and Adam break down Game 6 and preview Game 7, touching on topics such as: - Sixers Slap - No Intensity - 2001 - Consequences - Predictions It's a Raptors podcast that you won't want to miss! 122 - "Team Win" - Toronto Raptors Talk
09/05/2019 Duración: 48minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! With Round 2 being knotted at 2 games a piece, the Toronto Raptors headed back home to take on the 76ers in a game that would be crucial to maintain home court advantage. With Kawhi’s stellar performance in Game 4, we expected him to continue his dominance and carry this team to victory once again. We were wrong. Yes, the Raptors were able to be victorious, but it was the effort from every member of the roster to achieve the victory. Lowry, Green, Siakam, and Gasol were able to do their part and ease the tension off of Kawhi to grab this win. Even Serge and VanVleet has great performances and contributed to what was perhaps the most complete and team oriented win that this Raptors team has had since the trade deadline. It was truly wonderful. To recap Game 5 and preview Game 6, host Adam Corsair is joined by Connor Chambers of Toronto Sports Views and the TSV Podcast. Connor and Adam get into detail as to what they saw in Game 5, such as: Team Win Nurse’s Adjustments Breakouts Six

121 - "MJ-Esq" - Toronto Raptors Talk
07/05/2019 Duración: 01h04minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! With their backs up against the wall, the Toronto Raptors went into Philly under the pressure of a “must-win” mentality being down 2-1 in the 2nd Round of the Playoffs against the 76ers. To make matters worse, the Raptors were unsure of the availability of Pascal Siakam, who was reportedly battling a right calf contusion Friday & Saturday, being listed as “doubtful.” He was upgraded to “questionable” come Sunday afternoon and was able to play. However, the real story is the performance that Kawhi Leonard put on, leading the Raptors to victory on the road, reclaiming home-court advantage, knotting the series up 2-2 heading back to Toronto. To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Jordan Kligman of the 416 Basketball Podcast and writer for Hash Tag Basketball. 120 - "Adjust" - Toronto Raptors Talk
04/05/2019 Duración: 58minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk After dropping Game 2 on their home court, the Raptors traveled to Philly to try to steal one and take a series lead over the Sixers in Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs. Needless to say, the vast majority of the Raptors squad didn’t show up and ended up coughing Game 3 up, putting them in a must-win situation heading into Game 4. What needs to be done for the Raptors to reestablish momentum and but an end to this series in order to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals? To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Richard Birfer of the BallnRoll.com official Podcast, Pick-N-Pod. 119 - "Could They?" - Toronto Blue Jays Talk
02/05/2019 Duración: 01h19minWeekly Toronto Blue Jays Talk Now that we’ve had a couple of games to digest the arrival of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., it’s fair to reflect on the impact that he’s able to provide for this team. As it stands, even prior to his arrival, the Jays were exceeding expectations; going so far as almost getting to that .500 mark. With his help, however, they were able to do it, albeit briefly. Still, there is a lot to be both satisfied and excited with when it comes to this Jays squad. That being said, even though the month of April has concluded and small sample sizes being unreliable in terms of evaluating how the talent will be heading into the dog days of summer, I think it’s fair to wonder whether or not this team could possibly contend for a Wild Card spot. With the Red Sox not finding their groove and the Yankees experiencing injury woes of their own, perhaps it’s not so outlandish that the Jays could find themselves in an unlikely position of contention. Could it be? To discuss these and other topics, host Adam C

118 - "Perspectives" - Toronto Raptors Talk
01/05/2019 Duración: 01h03minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk After an outstanding 45 point performance from Kawhi to help the Raptors beat the Sixers in Game 1 convincingly, it’d be safe to say that confidence was riding high among fans. To boost that confidence, it would be criminal if we didn’t also mention Pascal Siakam’s performance as well, combing with Kawhi for a total of 74 points. Couple that with Gasol’s defensive performance to limit Embiid, it proved to be a great formula for success. However, that confidence was held in check after Game 2 with some great adjustments by Brett Brown and the 76ers. With Simmons doing a good job at staying glued to Kawhi for 44½ minutes, as well as Embiid primarily guarding Siakam and Jimmy Butler having a great shooting performance, the Sixers responded in a big way, evening the series at 1 game a piece. Should Raptors fans be worried? What are Sixers fans saying about the series now? To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Darryl Reynolds - host of Stay Tuned with D.Re

117 - "Round 2 Preview" - Toronto Raptors Talk
27/04/2019 Duración: 01h29minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk On the heels of the Raptors completing a Reverse Gentlemen’s Sweep, the Toronto Raptors now set their sights on Round 2 in a best of 7 match-up against the Philadelphia 76ers. With home court advantage on their side, this will be a true test for the Raptors as well as a good sense of preparation in the event that they move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. However, how confident are we that the Raptors can get that far? With arguably the best starting lineup in the entire NBA, the Sixers pose as a legitimate threat to the Raptors and their quest to the Finals. To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by Lior Kozai of Def Pen Hoops. 116 - "Vlad Begins" - Toronto Blue Jays Talk
25/04/2019 Duración: 01h09minWeekly Toronto Blue Jays Talk After winning their first series in Minnesota by taking 3 out of 4 games, followed by a series sweep on the road against the Athletics in Oakland, as well as the team being ever-so-close to the .500 mark, you would think that fan morale would be at an all time high. Yet, with Matt Shoemaker tearing his ACL, effectively ending his season, Aaron Sanchez battling fingernail issues, Freddy Galvis battling a leg injury, and Ryan Borucki being placed on the 60 day IL, it seems as though the injury bug is spreading quickly. How the Jays respond to this will be a true test of adversity. But it is not all doom and gloom for this Jays team as the Number 1 prospect in all of baseball, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., will be joining the team for the start of the home-stand against the Oakland Athletics. The wait is finally over. Just how much of an impact Vlad will make remains to be seen. However I, like many of you, think that it will be substantial. The wait is finally over. 115 - "So Spicy" - Toronto Raptors Talk
20/04/2019 Duración: 01h15minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! After suffering a terrible Game 1 against the Orlando Magic in Toronto to start Round 1 of the Playoffs, the Raptors responded with force by taking Game 2 easily and with a lot of sizzle. Hitting the road for the first game in Orlando, the fanbase for the Raptors were confident that they could take it on the Magic’s home court. Although Kawhi Leonard may have had his worst game in a Raptors’ uniform, the Raptors were able to walk away victoriously - shifting the power balance back in their hands with a series lead of 2-1. What stuck out the most in Game 3 was how brilliant Pascal Siakam was and how he’s truly making this playoff series his own. He’s blossoming right in front of the fanbase’s eyes and we ought to consider ourselves lucky that we have a superstar in the making, if he’s not already there (hint: we think he is). Couple that with a a bounce-back performance by Lowry in Game 2, as well as a solid performance in Game 3, there ought to be no doubt in our minds that the Ra

114 - "Let 'Em Play" - Toronto Blue Jays Talk
19/04/2019 Duración: 01h09minWeekly Toronto Blue Jays Talk The Blue Jays continue to be a frustrating team throughout the first month of the season. We are shown glimmers of talent that make us believe that they could turn into something, but immediately we’re brought back down to earth with performances that make us scream at our televisions (or radios). That being said, there are a few positives to take away, such as…. hey, they aren’t in last! Smoak’s been on a tear! And Shoemaker is still pretty awesome! The bullpen hasn’t been nearly as bad as we anticipated (OK, maybe it was just me). What exactly are we dealing with when it comes to our Blue Jays? 113 - "Postseason Round Table" - Toronto Raptors Talk
14/04/2019 Duración: 01h14minWeekly Toronto Raptors Talk! So here we go! The Toronto Raptors have concluded their 82 Practice Games and are headed to Round 1 of the Playoffs to take on the Orlando Magic. It came down to the wire as it was a toss-up as to how the Raptors would be hosting, with the Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons also in the fold. In the end, the Basketball gods gave the Raptors a gift . Or so we thought… maybe. After the Raptors lost Game 1 at home to the Magic, it’s predictable for the fanbase to feel uneasy, as well as distraught. History has shown that the Raptors have a difficult time capitalizing in Game 1 of the playoffs, and this is no different. Couple that with a goose-egg from our All-Star point guard, it’s understandable for there to be some bad vibes among the fanbase. But we’re here to ease your worries. To break down the 1st Round of the Playoffs for the Raptors, we are pleased to give you another ROUND TABLE discussion. 112 - "The Shoe Fits" - Toronto Blue Jays Talk
11/04/2019 Duración: 01h04minWeekly Toronto Blue Jays Talk Still within the early stages of the season, the Jays have been mostly underwhelming on the offensive side of the diamond. With the team coughing up two games against a terrible squad in the Baltimore Orioles, as well as getting swept by the Cleveland Indians, Blue Jays fans had a taste of what will probably be another lackluster season. However, hope was restored in the most delicious of ways, as the Jays took down the reigning World Series Champions in the Red Sox on their Opening Day/Ring Ceremony. It leaves Jays fans wondering, what is the true identity of this team? To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by the co-host of the Jay Bird Watching Podcast, Brendan Panikkar. 111 - "Book End" - Toronto Raptors Talk
08/04/2019 Duración: 01h37minWeekly Toronto Raptors talk! The Raptors have solidified themselves as the Number 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. With a victory over the Heat, they have made it so it is impossible for them to face Dwane Casey and the Detroit Pistons for Round 1 of the Playoffs. That being said, there’s still the question of whether or not they will finish with the second best record in the NBA and who they will eventually face for the first round of the playoffs. It’s been a long and winding road for this team, and with only one game remaining, it is clear that this is - without a shadow of a doubt - the absolute best season we as Raptors fans have ever witnessed. Joining host Adam Corsair is guest Jay Rosales of Raptors HQ and co-host of the That's A Rap Podcast. Jay and Adam unpack the week that was as well as other topics related to the regular season, such as: - A Look Back at the Regular Season [2:51] - Ka-Why Bracket [28:28] - Playoff Picture [55.46] - Raptors MVP [1:11.43] - Too Sweet Moment of the Season
