Trudie spoke to Gary Burgham on Monday's Mornings & More to explain why we should all be more "pulse aware". * More than 2 million people have an arrhythmia in the UK * Nearly 500,000 people in the UK have undiagnosed AF, and are at increased risk of a debilitating or life-threatening AF-related stroke – the most severe type of stroke * Arrhythmias cause up to 100,000 sudden cardiac deaths each year in the UK; over 250 every day, more deaths than breast cancer, lung cancer and AIDS combined * 120,000 people experience unexplained loss of consciousness each year, commonly a sign of a heart rhythm disorder * There is no national programme of pulse checks or heart rhythm. What is life like when all members of the same family become volunteers for the same Trust? James, Rachael, Hannah and Rebekah Masters all volunteer for The Eleven Arches Trust and Auckland Castle Trust. They each have a role in the open air spectacular, "KYNREN" at Bishop Auckland. Here, they tell us how they all became volunteers and why there is no sign of their commitment wavering.

June joined Gary on Mornings & More to tell us about the new shop opening on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland on 1st June at 10am. The shop is operated by Global Educational Trust - an organisation commited to improving literacy around the world by providing free books. The shop is run by volunteers and June is seeking further help to develop the shop and turn it into a user friendly "social hub" . Lesley Joined Gary on Mornings & More to tell us all about Bishop Auckland Choral Society. Lesley explained that the society meets in the Town Hall on Tuesday evenings and gave us something of the history of the Society, with a special mention of Edward Elgar! The Royal Navy are at Durham Tees Valley Airport on Saturday 27th May. The airport is hosting The Skylive Airshow. The day before the show, Children at Cockton Hill Junior and Infants Schools had a visit from a Royal Navy Helicopter. Chief Engineer Ashley Hinds, whose two children attend the school, spoke about the visit to Bishop FM's Chris Percival. Visitors to the Airshow will be able to see the helicopter.
