Booze And Glues

It's ALL about the invitation...it sets the tone for the entire party. If you didn’t know before, now you do! We craft for and discuss all the epic-ness of the upcoming 50th bday celebration that Tab is planning for her mom: the photo booth, the alcohol, the awesome games. Plus our take on: beer, Dr. Who, high-heels, how to fight with your spouse, Jessey’s recurring dreams, and ghost sex.

We may not be able to get more hipster than this: this episode includes: Trader Joes Peach Wine-in-a-Can; repurposing wedding cards; board games; Game of Thrones; subtle racism in TV and advertising; the real deal with Christopher Columbus; and what it’s like raising a (hopefully not evil) hacker/genius. Tape on your fake mustaches and grab a local craft beer....you have craft to do!

Have you ever bought groceries online? We are pretty sure it’s the boujee-ist (is that a word?) thing ever, but Jessye is hooked!  Tab goes back for more torture, knowing full well how nasty getting tattoo eyeliner is going to be... we know, hashtagfirstworldproblems.  Plus, Jes makes her new drink specialty “guava jams” courtesy of the Hawaiian Islands! Did we craft? Not really, because Jessye finished her project before she showed up-but no worries, we have pics! 

Jessye can barely handle the level of Harry Potter fandom going on here (if you listen carefully you may actually HEAR her eyes roll.) We create a magic wand stand while we discuss parenting philosophies, Tab’s trip to Hogsmeade, Chico Heat baseball games, adult babies, and an all new measuring system. Grab your wands and fill up your cups!

This week we are celebrating summer and ‘murica. Plus, Jessye has officially done the deed and is a super married woman now!  Find out how the wedding went down (and how the bachelorette party went the weekend before.)  Is Tab a real grown up now that she’s married people, and how did the taco truck, our yard games, and all the other wedding crafts go over? Jessye's wedding is coming down to the wire and we're putting the finishing and final touches on the last of the wedding projects. Tab finally meets Courtney (of QuadCast Podcast fame) and gets real excited about a tweet from Gareth (of The Dollop Podcast fame.) We talk about getting tickets to see My Favorite Murder live, and Jessye finally finds a podcast she can get on board with- Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.   We know it's last months' news but we listen to Laurel v. Yani and then have to educate Jes on who Jim Jones is.   

Is Space Jam becoming real life? Cause basketball players are talking about nukes on TV now. Plus, lots of underwear, Tab learns about BYOP, and Jessye finds out what she has in common with Harry Potter.

We like big butts and we cannot lie....what that has to do with our craft this week is anybody’s guess. We make a welcome “window” for one of our final “Booze and I Do’s” episodes. Plus: Tab goes to see The Dollop live and brings Dave and Gareth crafts! Jessye gives us the latest on marriage licensing…but wait, they didn’t already get married did they? And Brad still isn’t sure about his wedding date situation (then again, who WOULD want to date someone who went to a Shinedown concert?) 

Do our crafts always go as planned? Nope. But you know how the old saying goes “When life gives you a vinyl sticker that won’t stick to a door mat, make a sign out of an old pallet!”  Join Tab and Jessye as they wrap up the final crafts in their “Booze and I-Dos” series. Tab nerds out hard over Harry Potter at Universal Studios, Brad gets way specific about going back in time, and Jessye gives us the latest on the wedding front. Plus: how hard is it to be president (?) and we make a Yahtzee scorecard for giants. Drink up, you have craft to do! 

Have you tried one of these new wine clubs?! What kind of world are we living in?  You can order a guy to show up to your house with a box full of wine!! Tab almost missed out on this glorious experience when she thought the whole thing was a scam and called the company to tell them exactly that... Booze and I Do’s update: the wedding is still a go & the countdown is on! Find out what Jessye picked for her color scheme. We are working on wedding crafts, but this one seems to get the best of us and the cornhole score board stays propped in the corner for most of the episode (don’t fret, we got it finished.) Oh, and Brad won’t let us forget that he went on a Disney cruise-so drink up! 

We talk drinking stories while we make classy AF beer pong cups. Tab tells us about her visit to the Castro district in SF,  Brad gets picky about dogs, Jessye is too busy crafting to worry about talking into her mic, we imagine an epic Kardashians vs. Trump battle, and we pour out a little wine for our homies -RIP Grandpa Gordon.  

 The paint wasn’t cutting it, so we up our dice game with a wood burner! Apparently, there are more cool things you can do with a hot glue gun, Brad tries to help with the crafting and gets in trouble, Jessye confesses to walking her cat on a leash (?) and we discuss YA. Find out what color Tab’s hair is this week and why Men’s Wharehouse is on our list… It’s another episode in the “Booze and I-Do’s” saga. 

Jessye may not know what she wants for her flower arrangements, or which DJ to hire-but she definitely know she’s not jumping over a broom, and she’s going to need some oversized lawn dice for her big day! Tab’s chalkboard needs a new quote in Jes’ beautiful handwriting but only under careful supervision…she learned her lesson last time. Brad may not know who his wedding date will be...but he’s still got time to find someone (hint, hint.) Also, this should have been Episode 36, but this time Brad’s hardrive ate our homework! So, please excuse any lapses in the timeline- it won’t really matter, all your thoughts were implanted last Tuesday anyway. 

We have coined a new phrase-but you'll have to listen to find out what it is...cause it's not SFW. Get down at the jam-pad as we put the finishing touches on our 4 dozen jars of deliciousness. The holidays are over and it's officially time to start planning a wedding-but don't stress, we've got you covered! We promise not to spend every episode until June talking exclusively about I Do's because we will also have to explain the plot of Highschool musical to Tab, talk about breastfeeding, interpret crazy dreams, discuss sexism and chefs, and poke fun at Jessye for not joining us in the 21st century. So... Drink up! You have craft to do.  

Jessye and Tab invent a new acronym that is sure to catch on: FYHAWA! Brad offers to give them a unique gift. Slim fit jeans are on the chopping block, the ladies share their mutual desire for nipple tassels, and a whole lot more!  

Have you had this new Target wine? We have!! We are working on washi tape Christmas cards and chatting about drunken times.  While Tab hasn't convinced Jessye that Christmas is the BEST time of year, she has convinced her to watch Arrested Development (finally.) Drink on and listen up!
