Today we're chatting about what it takes to reinvent yourself in your business.  I've been working with many longtime business owners (7-20 years) who want to reinvent themselves and their businesses so I know that it's something a lot of business owners are thinking and feeling right now.  When you've been doing the same thing for so long, it's easy to get stuck in a rut - I get it! And with the market moving at the pace it does, you have to keep your business relevant and visible.  Some newer businesses can sometimes be more nimble because they don't have legacy systems and processes weighing them down So today I'm sharing the 3 Stages of Reinventing Your Business plus one bonus thing you have to make sure you're doing too.    READY TO WORK TOGETHER AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS & BRAND TO THE NEXT LEVEL: BRAND BUILDERS ACADEMY - Build the systems, strategy & structure to grow your business AMPLIFY MASTERMIND - Scale & grow your personal brand & programs 1:1 BUSINESS & MINDSET COACHING - Let's

  • 354. How to build powerful confidence in any areas of your life & business

    19/06/2024 Duración: 17min

In this episode we're talking about how to build powerful confidence in any areas of your life & business. Key Takeaways: Confidence comes from repetition. The more you do something, the more confident you become. Set a clear intention and start with the lightest weight, such as recording yourself without posting. Increase the reps gradually, such as posting on social media or getting invited onto podcasts. Turn repetition into a profitable skill by mapping out how you'll get to your end goal. Remember, confidence is possible, and you can make it happen. Just work out your intention, levels of reps, acknowledge what you've done, and find the evidence that you did the work to get where you wanted to go.   READY TO WORK TOGETHER AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS & BRAND TO THE NEXT LEVEL: BRAND BUILDERS ACADEMY - Build the systems, strategy & structure to grow your business AMPLIFY MASTERMIND - Scale & grow your personal brand & programs 1:1 BUSINESS & MINDSET COACHING - Let's work together 1 on 1

  • 352. Part 2 - Storytelling Movement Interview Reshare

    06/06/2024 Duración: 37min

In part 2 of my chat with Ryan McPherson from Storytelling Movement, we talk about the nitty gritty of how I structure my days and weeks to keep my personal brand growing. I walked through my "ideal week" - blocking off my mornings for content creation, having a CEO day each Monday, and consistently putting out valuable content to my audience. We got into the data behind where my clients come from (30% podcast, 20% social media, 30% speaking, plus referrals). My top takeaways: Organise your days/weeks to prioritize content creation. Block it in your calendar and treat it like an important meeting. Look at your data to see what's already working to bring in clients. Double down on those activities. Set big, exciting goals and make a plan to achieve them. Put it out to your audience to hold yourself accountable. Failure is just a stepping stone to success. If something doesn't work, put on your CEO hat, assess, make changes, and keep going. *********************** NEXT STEPS: BRAND BUILDERS ACADEMY - Cl

  • 348. The power of self validation & building self-worth

    27/05/2024 Duración: 15min

In today's episode, I want to talk about something that's been on my mind lately: self-validation and knowing your worth. I recently spoke at an event where I asked the audience how many of them felt like they had an interesting story or that people wanted to hear their story. Out of 70 people, only three raised their hands! Can you believe that? It got me thinking about how we often don't see the value in our own experiences and the impact we can have on others by sharing our stories. Whether you're in a corporate job or running your own business, it's so important to recognise that you have something valuable to offer. So, how do we start validating ourselves? Here are a few key takeaways: Become the dominant voice in your life. Pay attention to the stories you're telling yourself and challenge the negative voices that make you feel unworthy. Focus on what you want to be thinking, feeling, and experiencing instead. Don't let external rejections define your self-worth. When you ask for what you want and g

  • 345. Building an iconic brand with Styled by Sally

    15/05/2024 Duración: 40min

Today on the podcast, I'm chatting with someone I've known and admired for a very long time - Sally Mackinnon from Style by Sally. Sally has been an absolute icon in the Melbourne fashion and styling world for the past 17 years. I used to have my own style blog back in the day when I was still working in corporate. I've always loved talking about fashion, beauty, and all things style-related. So I was super excited to have Sally on the show to dive into how she's grown her business and built a massive following of over 200K on Instagram. Here are a few key takeaways from our chat: Sally has stayed focused on her core styling services over the years - wardrobe edits, personal shopping, style consultations. Consistency is key! Figure out what you want to be known for and keep delivering. COVID lockdowns were tough on Sally's in-person business, but gave her the time to start creating video content. This skyrocketed her growth and trust with her audience on Instagram. Sally does ALL her own Instagram conten

  • 344. Streamlining your business to get more time back & grow with intention

    13/05/2024 Duración: 21min

In this episode, I'm talking about building a lean and clean business that's easy to manage and helps you sell more. I love diving into this topic because having a streamlined business gives you more time to focus on the things you enjoy most. Key Takeaways: Do a business audit: Take a critical look at your current products, services, freebies, and opt-ins. Assess what's working, what you enjoy doing, and what aligns with your goals. Don't be afraid to let go of things that no longer serve you or your business. Streamline your messaging: Ensure your message connects on a deeper emotional level with your target audience. Share stories that illustrate why your core message matters and why you do what you do. Keep your language simple and easy to understand. Have a solid marketing and sales strategy: Regularly share how people can work with you and why your offer is valuable. Focus your efforts on one product or service each month, creating content and energy around it across various platforms. Systemise

  • 342. The Knowledge to Action Gap

    07/05/2024 Duración: 17min

I had a conversation with a group of clients recently about hitting big goals and what it really takes to achieve them. It got me thinking about the gap between what we know and what we actually do in our businesses. Here are my key takeaways from this episode: We often look for new strategies and silver bullets, but the foundational strategies remain the same. If we implement them consistently, we'll see more success. Many of us sit comfortably (and uncomfortably) in the knowledge-action gap, telling ourselves we don't know enough or need more time. But the real issue is often a lack of implementation. Constantly comparing ourselves to others and thinking they have a secret sauce is a trap. The answer lies in completing the work and implementing what we already know. If you've been in business for a while, you likely have the knowledge you need. It's about going back, finishing what you started, and being an implementer. So, my challenge to you is to reflect honestly on your own knowledge-action gap.

  • 341. Treating your business like your best client

    06/05/2024 Duración: 11min

I wanted to dive into a conversation that I've been having a lot lately - honouring the time you block for yourself in your business. It's so important to treat your business like your best client and prioritise the work you need to do to grow and take it further. I recently had a chat with a client who told me she blocks out time for herself and her projects, but then she moves them. Every single time. Sound familiar? I know a lot of people struggle with this. When you do this, you're robbing your future self of the growth, revenue, and opportunities you want in your business. There will always be other things you can do, but are you actually investing the time to grow your business the way you want? Here are a few questions to ask yourself: How can you decide to make your business your best client? What would that look like? How do you honor the commitments you make to yourself when you block time in your calendar? How do you hold that time and make sure you get projects done that will move your business

  • 340. Client Management - Setting yourself up to work with great clients

    02/05/2024 Duración: 20min

I'm getting real with you today about client management and dealing with those sticky situations that can come up when working with clients. This is a topic that comes up a lot in my own community and in the masterclasses I've been teaching, so I thought I'd share my thoughts and experiences to help you out. We're chatting about: Getting clear on your ideal client and the type of person you want to work with. What are your non-negotiables and boundaries? Naming and claiming your audience is like a filter that helps you attract the right people from the start. Having a solid vetting process in place. Ask meaningful questions in your discovery calls that help you determine if a client is a good fit. Things like their goals, budget, past experiences, and willingness to take action. Setting expectations early and often. Communicating clearly how you work, what you need from the client, and what they can expect from you. Putting it in writing and make sure you're constantly reiterating it throughout the relat

  • 339. Creating higher value thinking

    30/04/2024 Duración: 12min

Today, I want to dive into a topic that I absolutely love talking about - creating higher level thinking. This is something I discuss with my Amplify Mastermind clients and it's all about pushing yourself to think bigger, develop unique thought leadership, and come up with your own concepts and ideas that challenge your clients' thinking. If you've been in business for a while and want to be seen as a leader in your industry, it's crucial to keep evolving your thinking and how you talk about what you do. Constantly learning and growing is key to differentiating yourself and standing out from the crowd. We're chatting about: Constantly evolving your thinking and how you talk about what you do to differentiate yourself. Using the seven pillars of thought leadership to develop higher level thinking. Asking yourself what you've learned and heard that's new, and how you can bring it together uniquely. I believe that the more you create, the more you're able to create. It's like exercising a muscle - if you don't

  • 338. Is comparison killing your business & joy?

    28/04/2024 Duración: 13min

Today, I want to talk about something that's been on my mind lately - comparison-itis. You know, that feeling when you're scrolling through social media and you start comparing yourself to others? Yeah, we've all been there. The other day, I shared a reel about money management and someone left a comment saying that they don't look at their financials because they always end up comparing themselves to others. That got me thinking about how comparison can really kill your business (and your joy). First off, I want to say that comparing ourselves to others is totally natural, especially when we're working in the digital space. We're constantly seeing what everyone else is doing online. But here's the thing - if we don't deal with comparison quickly and intentionally, it can seriously damage our confidence and hold us back from growing our businesses. So, what can we do about it? We're chatting about a few things that have helped me:  Acknowledging the comparison Curating your space Focusing on your own journey

    24/04/2024 Duración: 12min

Is the quality and quantity of what you're putting out there getting you the results you want? This topic came up after a conversation with someone in my community, and it got me thinking. In this episode, I talk about the truth about quantity and quality when it comes to your business.  We're chatting about:  Assess if the quantity and quality of your content is getting you the results you want.
