Jesus has gone before us in trial. His love is infinite, and He is our Good Shepherd. May we look to His example and follow in His steps, for His glory.

This is a sermon that explores the question: how much do you value God's church? How are you doing with this locally here in Chilliwack, and globally?

Everyone suffers, don't they? Everyone goes through trials and tribulations, and the way we grow as a church is directly related to how we handle that.

Part one: a sermon on the sovereign God who is in control of suffering

The message of 1 Peter is one day the suffering will end, and the darkness will be over, and the lights will come on. May we all live in light of that day.

The word “commitment” has fallen on hard times today. You have to be committed to the church. There is no greater place to see this than in the book of Acts.

Who can join the church? Christians: those that confess salvation (say the same thing about it that God does), submit to and believe in Him and are hopeful.
