Our world has changed because of the blurring of the lines between right and wrong, biblical illiteracy and the spread of secular humanism. It is easy to get discouraged as we look at the world around us. But Jesus tells us as believers, to not let our hearts be troubled but TRUST IN HIM!

Pain and suffering often hits us suddenly and expectantly as we are going through everyday life. God sees your pain and loves you way too much to let you walk through it alone.

Temptation is a part of life. We live in a world that is brimming with opportunities to stray from the truth of God’s word. It is one of the great weapons Satan uses against the Christian. But we can praise God because He is faithful and trustworthy to provide a way to escape temptation!

Can we still praise God when we fail or sin against him? Many times we carry around garbage bags of regrets, failures and sin. Join us as we look at the disciple Peter who failed Jesus in his darkest hours and denied he knew Jesus three times. Through Peter we see the three important steps to seeking forgiveness and letting the past go. (NOTE: The first few minutes of teacher were not recorded)

It is not always easy to praise God in the circumstances of life. But if we truly understand who Jesus is, what he did and that he saved us from spiritual death we can come to no other conclusion than, “he is always worthy of our praise.” Join us today as we study scripture from the book of Revelation and grasp how truly worthy he is of our praise.

In our fifth week of the series, “Big Truths from Small Books” we will take a look at Colossians and Jesus as the Pre-eminent of All. The One who holds us, who holds all together. We’ll talk about the truth, the danger and end with a focus on the solution.

The apostle John had heard about some problems caused by a church leader named Diotrephes. Diotrephes was misusing his power and refused to welcome missionaries sent by John. To make matters worse, he saw to it that others who didn’t follow his example were thrown out of the church. This letter was written to confront his behavior and to encourage others within the church.

Paul gives us four commands in light of our great salvation: 1) Set our hope fully on the grace that will be brought to us; 2) Don’t be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance; 3) Conduct yourselves with reverent fear; 4) Love earnestly.

In our second week of the series, “Big Truths from Small Books” we will take a conceptual look at the book of Micah and ask the question: What happens when idols are “good?” We’ll talk about the problem, the oppressor(s) and end with a focus on the ultimate liberator.

If salvation is by grace alone, why is it so important to do good?
