My guest tomorrow is Tom Somach. He covers the internet gambling industry for the San Francisco Chronicle, and has written for numerous newspapers, magazines, and websites about gambling and other subjects. You can check out some of his coverage of the poker world at Poker Helper, a site that also happens to feature many strategy articles of mine (that's how I got in touch with Tom in the first place). We'll be talking about poker news, and in particular, we'll talk about some stories with some lessons to take with you to the tables. At the end of the show, I'll be giving away a seat to Blaze Me Up Freeroll #2, a heads-up match against me at Reefer Poker next Friday at 9:00PM ET.Following today's show, check out Blaze Me Up Freeroll #1 beginning at 9:00PM ET at Reefer Poker. I'll be playing heads-up HORSE against drp412, who won his entry during last week's show. We'll be playing for $25. If he wins, then he gets $25. If I win, then I'm taking my $25 and adding it to the prizepool of Blaze Me Up Freeroll #2

It's been an eventful week. I'm sick (again), and though I've known that my hair line has already shown visible signs of receding at the ripe age of 27, I saw the top of my head a few days ago, and I discovered that I need to make some Revivogen dollaz! But it's still all good in da hood...you know why? Because today I'm launching the Blaze Me Up freeroll series at Reefer Poker. Each week, I'm giving away a seat into a heads-up freeroll against me...you choose the game from the list of available games at Reefer Poker (No-Limit Hold'em, Triple Draw, Badugi, HORSE, whatever). If you win, you get $25. If you lose, then the $25 prize carries over into the following week. If I keep winning, the $25 prizes keep on carrying over so, who knows, two months from now, I might be giving away a seat into a heads-up $200 freeroll! To give away the inaugural Blaze Me Up seat, we're playing Let's Make A Deal. After the music break, I'll be proposing tournament final table scenarios, and I'm going to have you guys call in wi

Today's guest is Todd Brunson. I think he has enough of a name for himself, so I don't need to say much about him. We'll be focusing on heads-up no-limit hold'em and 7-card stud hi/lo. And we'll also be talking about a charity event he's hosting on Saturday March 8th for Camp Okizu, a retreat for children with cancer. As always, it should be an awesome show!__________________May Your EV Always Be Positive!Tony Guerrerawww.killerev.com

Tonight, my guest is Bob Ciaffone. He and Jim Brier coauthored what might be my favorite book about limit hold'em: Middle Limit Holdem Poker. He's written a few other books, and if you go to his website, you'll see that he's a lover of many forms of competition....a true gamer! Bob loves pot limit Omaha, so I'm planning on talking with him about it tonight, along with whatever else crosses our minds. It should be another great interview. Enjoy the show!__________________May Your EV Always Be Positive!Tony Guerrerawww.killerev.com

Today's guest will be John Anhalt (aka Freakdaddy). I first heard of John only 1.5 weeks ago. A player I coach asked me if I was looking for any guests, and he highly recommended John. I went to John's coaching website, www.pokerzion.com, and all I can say is that I have mad respect; he's a cash game monster! Here are his win rates as posted on his site:25NL-100NL: 28.3BB/100200NL-600NL: 17.6BB/1001000NL-2000NL: 8.8BB/100After booking John for today's show, I found out that ANOTHER player I've worked with is actively working with John. He's a great player and a great teacher of the game; be prepared from an awesome show!__________________May Your EV Always Be Positive!Tony Guerrerawww.killerev.com

I'm starting the show with my typical intro. During the intro, I'll be doing a brief crash course on pot odds. I'll try not to make it sound like too much of a lecture After that, I'm doing something new this week and formalizing the music break as "Music to Round By." I'll play songs chosen by either my guest or myself: stuff we listen to while playing or cruising to a casino. Following that segment, I'll be taking calls for the rest of the show. Call in with questions about pot odds, hands you've played, or whatever!__________________May Your EV Always Be Positive!Tony Guerrerawww.killerev.com

Expect some great talk including an in-depth discussion of bet-sizing and how to approach players that won't fold regardless of how much you bet. __________________ May Your EV Always Be Positive! I'm running solo tonight. I have a few topics to ramble on about, including my new, more conceptually driven nomenclature to describe the connectivity of hole cards in hold'em, and I'll have the phone lines open the entire show. Call in the chat about whatever. By now, you all know I'm pretty much about poker strategy, but feel free to catch me off guard with anything. This show is sponsored by www.killerev.com

I'm back, and I have a HUGE show lined up to celebrate my improving health. I'd like to give a special shout out to Dr. Scott along with methylprednisolone, ciprofloxacin, budesonide, and loratadine for a huge boost in the past 16 hours! My guest is Phil Gordon. And though I think I'm finally on the recovery road, I know my voice can't last, and overdoing things is what got me in this mess in the first place. With that in mind, I have a special co-host to help me out...Lou Krieger! I won't bother putting any biographical stuff up about these two legends Enjoy tonight's show...I'm looking forward to my return to the ring! __________________ May Your EV Always Be Positive!       Tonight, it'll be me running solo. I have lots of announcements, and I'll be doing a little bit of talking about 3-betting preflop and on the flop, particularly as it applies to shorthanded no-limit hold'em. I'll be opening the phone lines for questions in the middle of the show, and don't forget that at the end of the show, I'll be giving away the final seat to the Killer Poker Shorthanded Freeroll. For those who haven't been listening the past few weeks (shame on you), this will be a 6-handed STT on Cake Poker (date and time to be determined by all participants). John Vorhaus (my coauthor) and myself will be playing, and to date we've given away three of the four available seats. First place gets $80 and a copy of Killer Poker Shorthanded; second place gets $40. Good luck!

This episode of Killer Poker Analysis, my guest was Charlie Shoten. Back in 2002, Charlie took down $112,800 for his 1st place finish at the main event at Hustler Casino's Gland Slam of Poker. And by the end of 2004, he had two more 6-figure cashes: 2nd place at the California State Championship for $107,350, and 2nd place at the WPT Borgata Poker Open for $235,000. In 2003, Cardplayer magazine ranked Charlie among the top 10 poker tournament players, and his lifetime winnings exceed $1,000,000. For most of his life, Charlie battled in high stakes limit cash games, and he takes that experience with him when he plays limit poker tournaments. The winning mindset he puts forth in his book, No Limit Life, enabled him to make the transition to no-limit hold'em tournaments, and since 2002, he hasn't looked back!Charlie is a great player, and an enthusiastic teacher. Besides his book, he's a member of the team at Deepstacks. He's headlining one or two speaking events this month that you should definitely check out i

I'm running solo tonight, though I may enlist the company of some of the Rounder's Radio Crew. I have a ton of topics that I want to address tonight, some inspired by some recent threads in this forum. Topics covered will include how burn cards don't affect the math of the game, data mining. and the importance of chip accumulation in tournaments. I'm looking forward to my first hour show here on Rounder's Radio!

This week, my guest will be Lou Krieger. We plan on talking about poker strategy, good books to read, and the upcoming California Poker Players Conference (CPPC), at which both Lou and I will be speaking. Lou's writing credentials are incredibly expansive, so instead of typing them here, I'm just going to tell you to visit his website. He's written lots of great books, and if you want a preview of the great stuff he has to say, check out the free poker articles on his site.
