Having received the mercies of God through Jesus Christ and been given a part in His body, give yourself sacrificially, soberly, and socially to the worship of God in your service of His church.

The flood was not a divine failure requiring a divine do-over. Instead, God in his mercy makes a covenant with Noah so his promises can still be fulfilled.

Peace and security can only be found in the refuge offered by Jesus.

The story of Noah and the flood and the ark is a picture of the King’s mercy amid judgment. And, of course, how much more do we see this on the cross of Calvary. God proved once and for all that he would sacrifice everything to make a people for himself to dwell with forever, even if it means sacrificing his beloved Son. The King’s mercy amid judgment.

Even amid against pervasive wickedness, God once again reveals himself as the steadfastly gracious, merciful, and faithful God.

On account of the perfect life, death, and resurrection of King Jesus, we have been given the certain hope of eternal life amid the very real threat of death.

Through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, God saved us from himself, by himself, and for himself so that we might proclaim the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into marvelous light.

We live in that peace and hopeful expectation knowing that no matter how hard the battle continues to be, God is, and will be, faithful to preserve his church until Christ gains the final victory.

We are called to be slaves to Christ through gospel informed, Spirit empowered servanthood not just on occasion, but as an integral part of our identity.

God’s gracious promise of paradise restored gives certain hope, needed assurance today, to all of us who are suffering as we await his glorious appearing.

Treasure Christ and his Kingdom rather than the praise of men and the pleasures of the world.

By the word of his omnipotent and sovereign power, the King of the universe created the earth as his good kingdom.

The message of Genesis was intended by God to encourage his people to Know Him, Trust Him and His promises, and to follow him by faith amid the difficult days they were facing.
