Happy New Year from the Bait and Switch Podcast! Not only is it a new year, but we also start our SEVENTH season! As is tradition here at the Bait and Switch Podcast, Dave Boll is the guest that kicks off our new season! For this episode, we go "Behind the Scenes" to look at Episodes 11-18 of Season 3. These episodes mark the first time we started doing interviews through Zoom, as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. In a way, these episodes are a little bit like a time capsule that was created during the pandemic. As we reflect back on those days, you'll get a first hand look into our thoughts on how the Zoom experiment went along with our thoughts about each episode- what we liked, what we didn't like, what went well, and what didn't. We also get more in depth on the background of some of our skit episodes and where our ideas came from and of course we talk about the pandemic from our current perspective, three years later. The last episode of Season 6 features an intriguing guest who refers to himself only as "Mr. Z". Mr. Z was very upset with our previous podcast about shingles and contacted us to give his rebuttal and argue that getting the vaccine is a bad idea. This week we host a returning guest, Alex Ng! Unfortunately Alex is here to talk about the experience he had when he contracted shingles, along with a very painful complication from the disease that effects about 2 in every 10 people who get shingles. For Alex, this condition has lasted several years. He talks about what it was like to have shingles and the different ways it altered his life. Most importantly, he's hoping his story will be a cautionary tale for others and serve as a stark reminder to get their vaccines! Enjoy!
