In the second half of our interview with the band The Weary World, we focus on the veterans of the group. Not the guys who've been around the longest, the guys who served in the military! Our friend Scott Cvecko, who helped create the band, is a longtime member of the Guitars for Vets program and he tells us what the program is all about and how it helps our veterans. We also chat about what the veterans miss most about being in the military, who among the non-veterans thought about going into the military but ultimately chose a different path and much much more! This week we continue our fascinating conversation with our friend, Dave Williams on the topic of "Driving While Black". We discuss questions like is racism inherent in people? Today's topic is much more serious than normal. Today we talk with our friend, David Williams about what it's like to drive when you're a black man. By Dave's estimation, he's been pulled over somewhere between 80 and 100 times and he talks to us about some of the experiences he's had. He walks us through a few of his more memorable incidents, including his thought process and his perspective of the accounts which range from confusing to harrowing.
