In the middle of those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. Jerry is enjoying his pool with its saltwater filter system. Meanwhile, Dave is still waiting for his latest pool liner (the last one arrived with a hole already pre-punctured in it.) If you are in EHT and see a grown man playing in his lawn sprinklers, it's probably Dave. The Dog Days of Summer, and the worst shore traffic we have ever seen! The good news is that a new book is available by one of your favorite people! But, besides Garrison Keillor, Dave has also released his first book, all about his radio career which goes back to the days of oceanic morse code. As summer begins, Dave & Jerry discuss getting back to normal life after the pandemic. Dave was able to see his parents and siblings LIVE and IN PERSON. They had moved and did not tell him but he was able to track them down in hiding. The joys of home ownership! Dave and Jerry discuss all the things they are spending their money on these days, and most involve home repairs and upgrades. What have you been up to? Jerry is nursing sore calves after helping move one of sons out of the house and another back in. He dreads thinking of when he eventually moves out of his place, where he's been for over thirty years and how he's going to get rid of thirty years of accumluated junk. Dave smiles and is happy he's not going anywhere in the immediate future, as he's moved ten times over the last thirty years! Dave and Jerry discuss Dave's pool issues and why PETA organized a protest in front of his house last week. Let's just say that the neighbors are referring to him as the "Squirrel Whisperer." The question we both get asked the most (besides what the heck is wrong with you guys) is what have you been doing the last four months? The answer is ... not much! Although we've been working, seeing that we are "essential workers", the radio appearances and trips are all on hold until safer times return. Dave has been working on his memoirs. Still trying to decide on a title. It's between "Master and Commander" and "Your Erogenous Zones." If this podcast episode had a title, it would probably be "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights."

A pesky life-threatening virus couldn't keep them down! Dave and Jerry return in Episode One Hundred One with their vaccination stories. The boys were also neutered and wormed for the safety of those around them. Also, what foods could you not live without?
