Episode 30 - Jacob Martin (Artist/Singer/Songwriter)
31/07/2018 Duración: 31minThis episode of the podcast is with Jacob Martin. From the about page on his website (jacobmartinband.com)... "Jacob Martin’s relationship with music deepened at age 8 when he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Paralyzed from the waist down the Shriners Hospital provided critical care as Jacob battled this debilitating disease. While the Shriners helped him fight the physical battle he focused his emotional and mental energy on music. Lyrics from the Michael Card song Meditation / Baptism “ The deaf will hear, and the dumb will talk, The blind will see, and the lame will walk” played over and over in my head. It gave me the strength to physically pull myself up and begin to push through my recovery. Music has quite literally saved my life,” he professed." Needless to say, Jacob has a really inspiring story and has overcome so much in his life. In addition to a successful music career, Jacob is also passionate about empowering children who have similar battles/obstacles that he has dealt with in

Episode 26 - Beau Ash (Wellness Advocate)
18/06/2018 Duración: 34minThis episode of the podcast is with Beau Ash a Functional Fitness Coach and Yoga Instructor in Phoenix, AZ and super awesome example of everything Spread The Positive. A mutual friend of ours (Tory) told me to reach out to Beau about being on the podcast and connecting in general. I am very grateful she did that. Episode 25 - Taylor Loyal (Second Harvest Food Bank)
14/06/2018 Duración: 36minThis episode of the podcast is with Taylor Loyal with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. To anyone who is not familiar with Second Harvest (secondharvestmidtn.org) please do so. This organization does some really incredible work in Middle Tennessee and beyond. Taylor is one of the main people on the business development/operations side here in Rutherford County. His work is really inspiring and as you can hear from the podcast, his career is something that he is truly passionate about. His two main missions in life are to be the best Husband/Father he can be and to help as many people as he can, through his "career". It just so happens his career is based on reallocating perishable goods that would otherwise get thrown away and use them to feed people in need. This is a textbook example of what is "going right" in the world. Taylor's approach to not only his work but his life, in general, is everything we are about here at Spread The Positive. This was one of my favorite episodes that we have done

Episode 24 - Dimitri Shemel (Lighthouse Realty)
22/05/2018 Duración: 01h03minWow. This episode gets at the heart strings hard. A longtime supporter of Spread The Positive, Dimitri Schemel, is a Realtor with Lighthouse Realty a team within Keller Williams in Asheville, NC that has a really incredible story. Including a recent life altering accident that has changed his life in a really positive way. I have reached out to Dimitri multiple times in the past about being involved with STP and even more recently to be a guest on the podcast. This is before all of this happened to him and we could never get to work out for one reason or another. After this accident a literal "second lease on life" Dimitri felt compelled to tell his story and how much it has made him appreciate life. He has always been a really stand up guy, that is very community oriented and is genuinely looking to make the world better than the way he found it. However, this experience has taking this all to a whole new level. The struggle and recovery process has not been easy but he is on the fast track to getting his li

Episode 23 - Shawn Coss/Michael Nemitz (Any Means Necessary Clothing)
21/05/2018 Duración: 01h18min****DISCLAIMER**** There is quite a bit of profanity in this episode, not really suitable for children (and beyond...use discretion with this episode). This one would have a parental advisory sticker on it...if that was a thing on podcasts. This episode features Shawn Coss and Michael Nemitz. These guys have created a brand called, "Any Means Necessary". Coming in up in Akron, OH these guys have overcome some real adversity to create this brand. They are very honest and do not hold back when it comes to verbalizing how they really feel. Ha. Again quite a bit of cursing on this episode and quite a bit different than what we have been doing thus far on the podcast. This episode is a great example of how positivity can be found in many different ways. One of the main focuses of this podcast is for people to share any and everything they find positivity in. Although most of the art that is used for the clothing for "Any Means Necessary" is pretty "dark/gothic" they still have an overall mission of creating a cult

Episode 22 - Russ Hensley (Ranger Home Improvement)
17/05/2018 Duración: 28minReally awesome episode with Russ Hensley, a very talented "home improvement specialist" (much more than your average "Handyman" - we don't like labels) with his own company called, "Ranger Home Improvement". Russ served as an Army Ranger, has an incredible work ethic, is one of the most genuinely solid human beings I have come across and is certainly a great example of what we are looking to showcase on the Spread The Positive Podcast. Russ has a long history in construction and project management. He has been at it for a long time. Like roofing his parent's house when he was 10 years old BY HIMSELF. Insane. Russ has an amazing story, that we speak on and we also cover the typical STP subjects like, positive mindset tips, gratitude practices, what Russ thinks "is going right" in the world and more. Really grateful to have Russ on the podcast and for all he does to Spread The Positive!

Evans Prater (Founder of Mount Inspiration)
15/05/2018 Duración: 35minThis episode is with Evans Prater, Founder/Owner of Mount Inspiration (mountinspiration.com), an apparel company out of Asheville, NC. Evans is a young entrepreneur who had a spiritual experience while "thru-hiking" the Appalachian Trail (latch not lay - get it right) that led him to creating a really incredible brand called Mount Inspiration. Pretty fitting if you ask me. This obviously hits home because the ultimate vision for Mount Inspiration is incredibly similar to everything we are pushing here at Spread The Positive. Like really similar. Evans has a really awesome story. From overcoming some early adversity that he speaks on, to that adversity being a huge blessing in disguise, to hiking the AT, to creating a vision/brand that is having such a positive effect on the world and really just living an overall positive and optimistic life. Evans is a really great example of Spread The Positive. His current life consists of 12-15 hr days M-F screen printing shirts, responding to orders/issues, putting out f

Episode 20 - Joni Thomas (Health and Wellness Advocate)
14/05/2018 Duración: 40minThis episode of the podcast is with Joni Thomas who is a health and wellness advocate in Nashville, TN. Joni has an amazing story and definitely lives a life everything Spread The Positive is all about. We speak about her upbringing in New York City with a mother in show business, then moving to Ohio (having some interesting times there), to being here in Nashville very involved with the music industry as well as a very successful interior designer, to having a TV show, to her current job where she works with doTerra essential oils and more. A fellow ENFP (if you are familiar with Myers Briggs)and someone I personally relate to on a crazy level. This episode gets into how being positive is not always easy and how important it is to make a conscious decision on making focused efforts to be more optimistic, positive and hopeful overall. Joni has some amazing tips and really scientific facts on how to reverse hack being "happier". We also speak on how Joni was always drawn to the "outsider" type person that woul

Episode 19 - Casey Rainey
06/05/2018 Duración: 21minThis episode is with Casey "Rainmaker" Rainey. A financial planner with Raymond James and ridiculously involved with so many causes here in Middle Tennessee, Casey is a textbook example of what we are looking to highlight on our show. One of my all time "Grateful 4's" is from 3 years ago when I was paired with Casey randomly in a golf tournament at Old Fort Golf Club here in town. (Shout out to Old Fort and "The Superintendent's Revenge that year). We had met briefly at a Murfreesboro Young Professional's function, but nothing too in depth. I am a firm believer you can really find out a lot about a person in one round of golf and I did that day for sure. I remember that round very vividly. I was really blown away by the level of genuine concern he had to know about me, what I was involved with and how he could potentially help me in any way. He has certainly done more than he knows to help me personally, but also with some initial advice/guidance on how to approach STP here in Murfreesboro. Just a super stand

03/05/2018 Duración: 30minThis episode is with Jennifer Durand, the owner/founder of The Nurture Nook Day Spa and Gift Shoppe in Murfreesboro, TN. Jennifer has been recommended by several people/guests of the podcast, after meeting with her and this conversation it is easy to see why. We speak about her background/upbringing, practices to maintain a healthy/positive mindset, being conscious of the energy around us/that we carry with us and much more. Through her personal work and with her business Jennifer is a huge advocate for the Murfreesboro community. She helps out with countless charitable causes and The Nurture Nook provides a much needed, peaceful escape for thousands of people here in Murfreesboro. We could not recommend a place more if you need to recharge your batteries. The energy at The Nurture Nook is incredible and I felt better just being in the building.

Episode 18 - Ashley Cole (Social Worker/Trauma Educator)
03/05/2018 Duración: 27minThis episode of the podcast is with Ashley Cole. Ashley is Social Worker that focuses on helping individuals going through serious trauma. From an early age Ashley has been passionate about helping others in the mental health field. She is also the sister of STP ambassador/previous guest on the podcast, Adam Cole. To say that both of these people have been influential in Spread The Positive happening and still being around today is an understatement. Ashley is an incredible example of everything we are looking to showcase on the podcast. She has great tips on how to maintain a healthy, positive mental attitude and the meaning of "Spread The Positive" that has formed for her through her time working in this field is really something special to hear about. It was a real pleasure having Ashley on the podcast and hope to have an episode or two (maybe even a segment) with the Cole siblings both being involved with a group session of the podcast. Thank you for all you do to Spread The Positive Ashley!

Episode 16 - OJ/Sincere Beane (Educator/Wellness Coach)
01/05/2018 Duración: 39minThis episode is a follow up from the inaugural test run episode with OJ "Sincere-Universal" Beane. OJ is one of the most genuinely great human beings I have come across. He has been working as a teacher with "at risk" youth since 1999 and is passionate about shaping the minds of the youth. We get into some of his backstory/childhood, some of his fundamental truths, how he focuses on finding the "good" in any situation and much more. To say OJ is an ambassador for everything we are about here at Spread The Positive is a huge understatement. OJ also has a really special bond with Ronde and Tiki Barber (NFL super star twins). We get into some of the really great things they have done on and off the field that are everything Spread The Positive as well. I am super grateful to have crossed paths with this guy and appreciate him on a crazy level. A peaceful warrior that makes a super positive impact in the lives of people he works with in the classroom and in his day to day interactions with friends, acquaintances

25/04/2018 Duración: 27minThis episode of the podcast is with Tobias Maskell. He is 27 years old but has a wealth of knowledge on many subjects. We discuss his upbringing, current life, "what is going right", tips on routines to create a more positive mindset and much more.
