For the Third Sunday of Easter: Sunday, 23 April 2023  Reverend Shelley McVea explores the happenings on the road to Emmaus.  A man joins two others walking on the road, and he asks what they are talking about.  They are surprised to encounter someone who hasn’t heard about the events in Jerusalem.  They tell this stranger how they believed that Jesus was their messiah, but now,. he’s been crucified.  The two don’t recognize Jesus even as he walks along with them.
