Cheeze Pleeze With Snarfdude & Daffodil

A media icon of radio and TV for decades gets serious, and he probably shouldn't have (though we are glad he did), some yodeling from "The Price Is Right" and a hockey legend's instructional tips at scoring to a disco beat just says exactly why we want to play that one.      

This week we take a look at a couple fun cuts off an independent released album from the 80s...often the place to find excellent cheeze. Child labour of a bygone era is celebrated, and a guest appearance by Snarf's father who somehow found the bunker when most of the the rest of us can't. The magic of radio defies explanation.     

A limburger lounge special look at a 70s album cut at a inn...really stinky cheeze! We'll dance around the bunker with some xavier cugat instrumentals, and in the celebrity slip up, a "fall guy" that makes us want to wear better..stronger....and faster working....ear plugs.   

Alright Guv'nor, a trip to merry ole england to hear the buskers of a cockney accent of yesteryear, some groovy harmonica instrumentals and lhe limburger lounge, grimy and sleezy as it is, gets schmultzy with a lounge lizard style song from the hit parade.  

The week in a Cutting Floor profile, both the Bathtubs and Bathrooms are coming, as we take a look at a documentary on Industrial Musicals, an 18th century take on some 60s rock classics and who knew you can make straw slurping sounds really come alive on a record! A look at actor, author and comedian Stan Freberg, who you might have heard more then you know, I reckon we'll bring you music to dance with in a geometric kind of way around the floor and I don't know if you'll last very long listening to the limburger lounge this week....but we can hope so. 

Old enough to remember when someone shot JR from TV's Dallas? If you're not, we'll get you up to speed with cheezy records about this epic television event, music to sooth the savage plants and a Celebrity Slip that....well, it's a closely guarded secret as much as Who Shot JR was 

We're gonna be groovin with a forgotten Canadian barber shop quartette of yesteryear, and pass over the polka and beer records for the turntable, if you can stand up to do it. Finally, a 60s celebrity croons Paul Simon and we've heard it was part of Dave Letterman's Record Collection..(yeah, we're running out of ideas of our own!)  

This week, we call it our "Shatner/Nimoy Song Special" a look at some of the delightfully cosmic out of this world cuts by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy over the ears. You might need the Vulcan Death Grip to put you out of your misery, but well risk it!

The trial and tribulations of the madison avenue advertising industry are very much tongue in cheek this week with an album we profile, the guy who goes on a sleigh ride every christmas makes sandpaper and typewriter music and whoh, a beatles classic by that famous fighter of aliens seems a refreshing change, for her, but maybe not for your ears.   

Back in the 1950s, the rock n roll monster records were popular cheeze back then and we'll play a few to try to scare you, terry snyder comes back to beat his bongos (man....doesn't that sound risque?) and a celebrity Canadian Actor who is obsessed about cod liver oil....never a dull moment around here....it's actually rather slick if I do say so...get it? oil....slick???? OK just listen.....

An album profile of Kazoo Music this week.....yes Kazoo, Kazoo music......bless you.....a canadian political oddity, and some banging on the bongos to start things off. Never a dull moment to keep your neighbors quiet when you blast our show in your speakers!!!      

This week, who loves a 70s TV NYC detective with a desire to sing? WE love ya baby! Some groove and soulless song covers and grab your axe as we listen to a song about lumberjacks (just carefully use that axe...okay?)    

We revisit a CD that has a Gregorian Choir singing Celine Dion Songs..strange but true, some kids songs and on our show there's never a bad time to have Spock sing! Most illogical!!!  

It's a bit of a blue collar week on CP as take a look at a album by Stevedore Steve, while we are also musically bending some fabric, and stinking like it's the 50s in the Limburger Lounge. Never a dull moment on our show. 

Harry "Day-O" Belafonte just seems to have more and more cheeze we can present for your ear piercing pleasure, bouncy and car drivin instrumentals (including a artist submission) while macho celebrity Burt Reynolds is getting all schmaltzy? We could believe it either...that's why this Celebrity Slip Up has just gotta be played.

This week, it's another Celebrity Slip Up Special, with the vocal stylings of the known and forgotten celebrities of Film and TV shows of the past...from the likes of Joe Pesci, Dick Van Dyke....a US Senator...and can you believe Sylvester "Rocky/Rambo" Stallone? you should!   

We profile a legacy album of singing seniors in a social club. More cheezy german music we can't pronounce the titles of, and off to the Limburger Lounge for a song made famous by a king....and then he left the building!
