It’s coming up on almost a year since MA Gov. Maura Healey declared a state of emergency existed in the Commonwealth because of the influx of migrants. The migrant crisis has put a serious financial strain on the state’s budget. Taxpayers in Massachusetts have spent more than $1 billion to date on the emergency shelter system.
