Justin and i are back fro the first episode of the Journal Jam for 2025.  we discuss a lot of stuff about TXA, adrenaline, salt correction, dissection and infections!  Lots of great #FOAMed for the month of January.

This month we cover a few out-of-hospital arrest trials. More PECARN goodness and we answer the question: are ants better doctors than human doctors?

This month we tackle some airways and resus topics then slide into a whole heap of dermatology... that is something we probably don't cover enough in ED teaching. Lots of stuff, papers and critical analysis for ED care.

This month on the Journal Club we tackle a lot of PAeds - croup, HFNC, sepsis and buckle injury.  There is some old stuff about CT Head rules and some fascinating oddball papers.

This month we try to answer some of the big questions in ED practice... we do not necessarily succeed... How much electricity should we use in refractory VF? Should we suck clots out of legs? Should you put Tegaderm on eyeballs? Is the HEART score valid? Are any clinical decision tools really what we think? What happens if you discharge patients with low troponin rise? Should you evert the edges of the wounds? Can we send kids home with abnormal vital signs? Does kissing minor toddler boo-boos help? Do men with smaller penises drive fast cars?

This month we discuss "breaking good news"; less is more in temperature management, IV fluids, gloves... basically everything! Up your EBM game with some hands on data dissection! #FOAMed
