On Friday, June 27th, Michael Misa was selected by the San Jose Sharks with the 2nd overall pick. Following his selection by the Sharks, Misa met with the assembled media, including our own Russ Cohen. Misa thanked the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL for getting him to where he is now. Also, Misa knows he has a big summer ahead of him to determine if he’ll make the big club, or if he’ll have to develop his craft further to debut in the NHL. Hear what Misa had to say!

On Tuesday, June 17th, the Florida Panthers won their second-consecutive Stanley Cup, as they beat the Edmonton Oilers, 5 – 1, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Following the Panthers’ epic win, our own Russ Cohen caught up with 22-year-old winger Mackie Samoskevich. As the Columbus Blue Jackets fight to get into the playoffs, they made quick work out of the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, April 15th. The Blue Jackets defeated the Flyers, 3-0. Blue Jackets star 20-year-old, Adam Fantilli, scored his 30th goal of the season in the win. Following the game, Fantilli talked to the assembled media, including our own Russ Cohen, and talked about how his recently deceased grandfather was a Flyers fan… It was a touching moment!

Kaapo Kakko was the 2nd overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers, but was recently traded to the Seattle Kraken at the trade deadline.
