In the season two premiere, Lo and Jo sit down with a special guest: Nkechi Njaka. Nkechi is a creative brand and lifestyle consultant, with a background in neuroscience, dance and nutrition. They chat about her mindfulness practice, manifesting the things you want in life and the importance of releasing trauma from the body. Plus! Lo and Jo get into a heated debate, and share their plans for the rest of season two. Stay tuned next week for the release of a bonus episode — a 5-minute meditation guided by Nkechi.

Lo also celebrates UNC's championship win, while Jo struggles to remember the alma mater... 

This week, Lo and Jo chat about a hot button issue for black women: hair. They discuss the styles they've worn over the years, as well as the responses others have had to their hair choices. Plus, Lo and Jo put each other in the hot seat, where Lo reminisces about her first crush and Jo tells the story of her first kiss(es).

Drawing on several essays from Naked: Black Women Bare All About Their Skin, Hair, Hips, Lips and Other Parts, Lo and Jo discuss their relationships with their bodies, and explore the assets they love as well as the parts they’ve struggled with. They also chat about their awesome Black History Month panel discussion at Reddit, Lo’s bedridden week with the flu and yet another white person with something to say about Jo’s hair.

In this episode, Lo and Jo talk about their love for TV, and the different ways they’ve seen black women represented on screen over the years. Plus, Lo chats about her food nightmares, Jo shares an embarrassing rejection and a #shitwhitepeoplesay featuring yall’s vice president. 

After reading the *brief* novel We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Adichie, Jo and Lo chat about how they became feminists, and the influence that feminism has had over their lives. They also discuss their experience at the Oakland Women's March, Jay (Bae) Ellis's compliments to BGBC, and take their first stab at a rapid fire question round (which, truthfully, turned out to be pretty moderately paced). 

In their debut episode, Jo and Lo chat about all things beauty, and how TV + magazines helped shape their perception of themselves growing up. Plus, they discuss the diet that has Lo snacking on lean meats, question some shit white people (and Jordan) say, and deliver a tearful goodbye to Michelle Obama.
