Episode 160 06/11/2026 [PLANNING] Making Invisible Work, Visible for More Effective Goal-Setting
11/06/2026 Duración: 32minMany people use a planner or calendar simply as a collection of due dates. They write down when something has to be turned in or completed, but not all of the steps that it will take to accomplish that task. All of those steps are what I define as "invisible work". There is a broader definition of invisible work that I believe shares some components with my definition, however, it's more narrowly used to refer to the experience of moms and caregivers, which is work that is unseen or undervalued. I believe the connection between this definition and mine, is that a lot of people undervalue or take for granted, the many steps it takes to accomplish most tasks. In this episode, I talk about learning how to recognize the invisible work in your life in order to help yourself be more realistic and prepared for any goal you set for yourself. Hopefully this will also help you to recognize and appreciate the many unseen things that happen all around you, either by your coworkers, family members, or people

Episode 158 05/28/2026 [PRODUCITIVTY] How I Went From Overpacking to Packing Light
28/05/2026 Duración: 30minI used to be an over-packer, but then a 1-month trip to 3 countries and 12 cities converted me. I didn't want to worry about losing my luggage, nor did I want to pay $1,200 in checked luggage fees, so I decided to finally conquer the skill of "packing light".In the end, it worked out really well especially as we would have missed our return flight if we'd check luggage because our first leg was so late, there would have been no time to collect our bags and go through customs. We had to JOG from our international gate to our domestic gate and arrived with only minutes to spare. In this episode, I talk about my packing light strategies.NEXT WEEK06/04/2026 A Conversation with Mark Decarlo About Happiness in the WorkplaceRESOURCESPack Light Printable: http://tinyurl.com/bywdpacklightSeason of Self-Care: https://bywdreams.mailerpage.com/seasonselfcareWebsite:BYWDreams.comOur books:

Episode 156 05/14/2026 [SELF-CARE] Making Time for Who Matters, Relationships as Self-Care
14/05/2026 Duración: 29minOne of the defining traits of humans is that we are social creatures, and yet, how often to you prioritize quality time with people who matter to you? Self-care is defined as doing activities that make you feel good physically, emotionally, mentally, and quality time with people who matter to you is part of that. In this episode I give you a handful of ways to make sure you are making time for people you care about and one final tip about how to make space for this. Episode 153 04/23/2026 [SELF-CARE] Fascia, Part 2: Demonstration of More Fascia Tools
23/04/2026 Duración: 39minI had been doing "fascia work" for years before I knew what it was. I first learned about fascia about five years ago, but have been "working" it for about twenty going back to an injury that was diagnosed as a herniated disc at the L5/S1 juncture. (A reminder: I'm not a medical professional, this is just my experience.) When I had the injury, I was bedridden for three months and daily physical therapy wasn't helping. So I looked within and used my intuition to heal myself. It was only when I did much longer, deeper hours of physical therapy that I began to see relief, which is characteristic of fascia because it is so much stronger than muscles.First though, what is fascia? It's a layer of connective tissue below the skin that surrounds all of the cells, nerves, joints, tendons, muscles, organs, bones, and ligaments in your body. Oh, is that all? I truly believe in about ten or twenty years, everyone will know or be doing fascia work the way we all know what stretching is toda
