The fourth Remark Back to Mine installment, Subliminal, was lost for years — hence why it appears so greatly out of order from the remainder of the podcast. The original recording was believed to be corrupted; however the master audio source file was recently found and it finally makes its long-awaited return 14 years later. Similar to its predecessor, Seclusion, this soundscape continues to play with the fine balance of ambient and indifferent, moody electronica, whilst maintaining the universal theme of escapism through music. The twelfth Remark Back to Mine installment. The journey continues with part two of a very special soundscape. This episode is an exclusive three hour voyage featuring the music from Iceland’s extraordinary post-rock Sigur Rós. Picking up where the previous episode Jökull left off, this intense session — called Snjóflóð (which means avalanche in Icelandic) — starts gently and then aggressively collapses through their entire discography, from 1997’s “Von” to 2013’s “Kveikur”. The peaks and valleys are extreme at times, with the audio banging its way through their more anxious, moody, and intense tracks.
