Terror And Tacos

Sinners (2025). Remote Coffee. LA Tacos. After facing the darkness for months, we have returned to the light to talk about one of our favorite movies in a while.

We're back to talk about some of our favorite horror movie settings, and why some places are just just terrifying.

The Substance (2024). El Fenix. We're back to talk about The Substance, insane beauty standards, our younger selves, and the French.

Lost Highway (1997). Mulholland Drive (2001). Many, many others. We talk about David Lynch.

Nosferatu (2024). Your call has awakened us from our long slumber. Like a plague of 5,000 rats, we have returned.

MaXXXine (2024). Longlegs (2024). Taco Palenque. We're finally back to talk about two summer horror hits and the only decades we still care about--the '70s, '80s, and the '90s.

The First Omen (2024). Taco Bell. Yay. Another prequel that totally undercuts a major plot point of the movie it's supposedly a prequel to.

Ripley (2024). Chalupa. We're rooting for a conman, talking stunning black and white cinematography, and trying to figure out what "horror" means.

Late Night with the Devil (2024). We're finally back to talk Late Night with the Devil, vague memories of the '70s, and Australians knocking out American accents, and to humbly ask you, our listeners, for $2,000,000!

True Detective: Night Country (2024). True Detective (2014). Shetland. Vera. Midsomer Murders. Mexican Chocolate. We're back to drink Mexican chocolate, figure out what makes a great mystery show, and to talk about True Detective and why we're so excited about its new incarnation.

The Exorcist: Believer (2023). Victoria Sponge Cake. Cane Rosso. We discuss the non-movie/abomination that is The Exorcist: Believer, eat a delicious treat that Christie made, and discuss delicious pizza.

Happy New Year! TAT returns after an extended hiatus to talk about some favorite (and not so favorite) movies we watched in 2023, and to discuss holiday treats made by our very own Christie Vela (trifle, y'all!). Our resolution for 2024 is to record way more often, so we'll be back soon.

So, we break down some of the movies that had the biggest influence on us when making our movie...and we remind you over and over that The Finale will be available to rent or buy on July 28!

The Pope's Exorcist (2023). Bless us Father, for we have sinned. It has been three months since our last confession. But we have finally returned to try to figure out what the hell The Pope's Exorcist is.

Let the Wrong One In (2021). Homemade Breakfast Tacos. We talk about the beauty of low-budget horror comedies done right, Irish film, and why governments should support vampire movies.

The Menu (2022). Choriqueso. We're back again to talk about The Menu, what happens when you start hating the thing you love, and the pure deliciousness of choriqueso.

Skinamarink (2022). Chorizo. Hey look, it's that door at a weird angle again. And Legos! Oh my gosh, the Legos!

Smile (2022). European coffee. We have returned! And so has the CHUD, who clearly has a great agent. We're back to talk Smile, solipsism, and getting bludgeoned to death by a weak metaphor.
