Ever been so devoted to something that you have done some crazy dumb stuff just to accomplish it? Well Paul is saying why not be devoted to seeing people know Christ through the word by devoting ourselves to prayer.

The Perfect Child, is their such a thing? Maybe not but the goal of the scriptures is for parents to raise mature adults who make decisions that would honor God and ultimately honor us their parents.

Dallas Willard said Grace is opposed to earning but not opposed to effort. Effort is one of the crucial things in the Christian walk that is holding Christians from seeing the fullness of God's power in them.

What does it look like to "walk in Him?"

There are great benefits that come from our struggle. However we must understand how the struggle brings about the will of God in the lives of others was well as our own.

If we are going to struggle why waist our time on the wrong things and why not have an attitude that rejoices?
