Before you faced any of the issues you have faced in life, God chose you, by His foreknowedge, to be a part of His kingdom and of His family.

As we finish the book of Ezra we look at one of the hardest parts of maintaining a relationship with God, repenting from our sins.

It doesn't make sense to acknowledge God's sovereignty over our lives whilst rejecting His sovereignty over governments, which are a huge part of our lives.

Think about the most amazing thing about God's grace and we still won't get a complete picture of how amazing His grace truly is...but we don't have to picture it.

Just an in Ezra's day, sound Biblical teaching is needed within the body of Christ...and in the world.

Obeying God rather than men includes not obeying every political agenda or every social media conspiracy theory put forth by men.

Just as gathering together to worship God was important to the Israelites it should be important to the people of God...but it doesn't appear that way these days.

The altar is where the people of God would provide sacrifices and offerings in order to connect with God. Amidst our current economic crisis and a global pandemic it wouldn't hurt for the people of God to return to the altar of God.

In order for the people of God to put their trust in the Word of God we have to know God's Word...which means we need to spend some time in it.

The book of Ezra starts out with God demonstrating his ability to fulfil prophecy and keep His promise to His people, something we could all use a reminder of these days.

In this new ongoing series we look at some of the darker accounts of the Bible that still reveal God's truth.

With everything going on in our nation it is totally ok not to be ok right now. However, neither God nor our families want us to stay that way.

This is the Gospel, the message that we, the body of Christ, are meant to share with the world.

The Lord's Supper is one of the most reverential and spiritual acts that the body of Christ can do and it is meant to inspire fellowship and reflection.

Out of 16 chapters, Paul devotes only 2 verses to congregational giving. So the Church doesn't need to make everything about money, they just need to understand giving.

Paul places an emphasis on using our gifts in the Sunday Celebration to make the Church better and on ensuring we aren't disruptive when we gather. We should place an emphasis on those things as well.

Before we move on to the chapter about prophecy and tongues, we have to understand a little bit more about prophecy.

The most excellent way to BE The Church and to make the Church better is using the spiritual gift of love.

If you're a Christ-follower you are filled with the Holy Spirit of God, and He, the Holy Spirit, gave you spiritual gifts just as He determined to be used in order to make the Church better.

Today, we can learn from our spiritual history and our real life history as we prepare to move forward amidst this global pandemic.
