It looks like he may not be able to play this series. We're in!!! The St. Louis Blues have officially qualified for the 2021 NHL playoffs. Considering how this season has gone that is quite a feat. There's still a few games left to determine who their first round opponent will be but it will be whoever finishes first in the Honda West Division. It will be either Vegas Golden Knights or Colorado Avalanche. Either team will be a tough challenge for the Blues. On this week's show Chris returns and we discuss this past week's games, who would match up best against the Blues, and Fan Favorite David Perron reaching four career milestones in one game. Their podcast is a partnership with the #SAMEHERE Global mental heath movement. The organization works to normalize society's perception of mental health & make it part of our everyday conversation. We got to speak to both of them about a variety of topics ranging from Theo's time in the NHL playing against the St. Louis Blues, Eric's love for the New York Islanders, & most importantly the battle to make mental health part of the everyday conversation. It was great to hear stories from Theo about his time in the NHL but I think the thing we enjoyed the most was his speaking about how he has battled mental health most of his life & the trauma he has endured. RIP Mr. Blue, Bobby Plager. Bobby Plager tragically passed away this week due to a cardiac event while driving. He has been a member of the St. Louis Blues since their inception. He has literally done it all. Player, coach, scout, front office member and ambassador. He was a pillar in the St. Louis community and his contributions will be missed throughout the Blues organization and the whole St. Louis region. Success out West! The Blues have completed a six game road trip out West and I think we can classify it as a success. They went 4-0-2 and collected 10 of 12 possible points. Finally, hockey is back! It's been a weird and crazy year with the NHL season being no different. It's official! Not only to do we have a new NHL season, the St. Louis Blues have a new captain! The Blues also lost a player to retirement after 12 years with the organization.
