Bigger than the Game (Episode 174)
01/09/2020 Duración: 01h01minChris and Jason recorded a bit of a different episode this week. We had our usual St. Louis Blues news and an interesting trade rumor making the rounds invovling a St. Louis Blues defenseman along with an updated look at the NHL playoffs. Next, we felt it was important to talk about the NHL stoppage of play this week due to the violence that occured this week in Kenosha and what steps the NHL is taking to address racial diversity across the league. We dived into what we feel is an important subject and something that is bigger than the game of hockey. It was an important conversation to have and I'm really proud of this episode. 26/08/2020 Duración: 01h16minWell that didn't go the way we wanted. The Blues bubble bursted early as they were eliminated by the Vancouver Canucks in six games in the first round of the NHL playoffs. So the St. Louis Blues season is over until December. What a wild and weird season it was. We had the highs of a banner raising, lows of an early playoff exit and the scary with the sudden in game cardiac event involving Jay Bouwmeester. Jason and Chris break down the St. Louis Blues time in the bubble in Edmonton and what exactly went wrong. We also discuss what may happen in the offseason from the resigning of Alex Pietrangelo, the health of Vladimir Tarasenko and what Doug Armstrong can do to upgrade the roster next season. Finally, listen to see who we are rooting for the rest of the way in the NHL playoffs. Listen to us on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Anchor, Spotify, Pocketcasts, RadioPublic and many more podcast apps! The St. Louis Blues got in three games this week before the NHL paused the season. Chris and Jason talk about the games this week along with their thoughts about the season being paused. It was a pretty somber podcast but I think it was good to talk about the current state of things while mixing in some hockey talk.
