Information On Cruising The Great Loop

Our Guest Host today will be Captain Bob Kunath. This very knowledgeable Looper will tell us about the ups and downs of cruising Lake Michigan and all of the best places to stop. With water levels reaching more normal depths, after last year's extremely low levels, there are many things to consider when approaching this always intersting body of water!

Guest Dr. Jerry Reves will discuss what you should have in your medicine cabinet whan taking a long distance cruise. All Loopers should listen to learn what they need to do to be prepapred for the bumps, bruises and minor illnesses they will encounter on their trip.

Mike and Robin McKeown will be our guests today. They will be discussing cruising in the Georgian Bay and the North Channel. Most of our members who are actively Looping will be reaching this area in the near future and this very informative show will give them tips on where to stop, what to see and other valuable cruising information.

Today, we will feature AGLCA Lieutenant Sponsor, Regent Point Marina's  Jim Wagner, guiding our Loopers along Canada's Triangle Loop. Jim will tell us the waterways that comprise this alternative route and other interesting facts about the journey.

John Callahan, Deputy Director of the New York State Canal Corporation will be talking about the status of the Erie Canal. Be sure to listen in to this informative show, especially if you are currently Looping and headed for the Erie Canal.

Tom Hale, Cruising Editor for Waterway Guides, will be picking up where he left off last week on his narrative about the great Chesapeake Bay. Tom will relate his favorite stops, cruising tips and everything you might want to know about this wonderful waterway.

Tom Hale will be joining us to talk about places to go, things to see, and cruising information for the Cheapeake Bay and surrounding area. Since many of our members are already in this area or headed that way, this is a very timely topic for discussion. Don't forget you can call in with any questions on this topic!

Tim Mullen is our Guest Host this Week.  Time is a disabled veteran who just started his adventure of kayaking The Great Loop.  Tim will tell the story behind this journey and his upcoming plans.

Chuck Baier and Susan Landry will join us to talk about their three "Great Book of Anchorages" with a special focus on the newest one, "The Great Book of Anchorages--The Chesapeake Bay".
