PARENTAL ROLES
07/08/2016 Duración: 29minSay HiThe foremost responsibility of parents to their children is to be there for them and teach them basic godly values. Parents should not depend on the church, school or the community to do this for their children. Charity, they say, begins at home. It is not enough for parents to send their children to top ranking schools to become doctors, lawyers, engineers and even pastors. The formative years of every child must be taken responsibly by parents to lead the children into the way of their God. What are the important godly values parents should teach their children?1.Teach them FAITH. While children should learn how to trust their parents, parents should go beyond having their children have trust in them and should point them to the Lord Almighty who cannot fail and who is the provider of all good and perfect gifts and the sustainer of those who trust in Him.2.Teach them how to PRAY. “A Family that prays together stays together”. So teach your children to follow your example in leading a life of prayer an

When the Lord Visits His Church
31/07/2016 Duración: 23minSay HiThere is a popular saying that prior preparation prevents poor performance. Another saying goes thus, ‘failure to plan is planning to fail’. I have seen the preparation people put in when they have an occasion to attend, I have observed the energy exerted to float a business and to the passion with which an idea is introduced in the market place. The preparation put into it all these are often so demanding because no one wants to fail and the average man wants to prevent poor performance. My challenge to us this morning is how are we preparing to meet our God? No matter how long we spend on this other side of eternity, some day we shall stand before the righteous judge to render to him the account of our activities here on earth. Are you prepared? What will your score card read? Would it guarantee you entrance into God’s kingdom? We must not live like people who do not have eternity in view. When God visits His church, prepare to meet Him!

When the Lord Speaks
24/07/2016 Duración: 39minSay HiThe most important interest of God is the saving of souls that are lost. It is disheartening to say the truth that many churches have neglected this concern of God to win souls. We run now after money and things that should be tools for the most important task. But after getting these tools, we forget about the main task and gloat in the machinery and not in the obedience of the word of the Master, Jesus.Matthew 28: 18-20 reads, ‘‘All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Trusting God Completely
03/07/2016 Duración: 32minSay HiStep 1: Do not depend on Yourself. Dependence on self will limit us because we are limited in everything – our strength, our wisdom, our finances, our lives. But God is limitless. Romans 11:33 tells us that God’s wisdom and knowledge are unsearchable and His judgment and paths are beyond tracing out. Step 2: Call Unto God Always. Many times we have not because we ask not. The Psalmist says in 55:17, “Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress and He hears my voice.” God promised to give us when we ask from Him.Step 3: Put God First in Your Life. Verses 9-10 tell us to honor God with our wealth, with the first fruits of all our crops. The promise He gave is that our barns will be filled to overflowing and our vats will brim over with new wine.Step 4: Trust God because He Loves You. His love compels us to have confidence in Him. Know that though our earthly father and mother may forget and reject us, the Lord will not abandon us but He will receive us (Psalm 27:10).By the help of the Holy Spirit we

Oh, The Depth of God’s Love
26/06/2016 Duración: 31minSay HiWhen we consider God’s love towards us, we should stand amazed to ask why God should look at us and love us at all. Definitely, we do not deserve to be loved due to our rebellion and disobedience to God in countless ways and occasions. To sum up our state of heart, Jeremiah 17:9 says “The heart of men is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can understand it?” Sin has corrupted our lives to the point that only God in His mercy can forgive us.If God is just a loving God, we would have frustrated His lovingkindness. But God is love. Such love cannot be tainted or frustrated. Love is God and all that God does, He does out of love.God’s love is personal. Of the seven billion plus people in the world, God knows us individually and loves us personally. To know this profound love of God calls for reverence and absolute obedience to God. This aspect of God’s attribute distinguishes Christianity from other world religions because we claim John 3:16 as God’s purpose of sending His only begotten Son to die for us

Where Are You Running To?
12/06/2016 Duración: 32minSay HiWhen God calls to give us a task for the ministry, many, if not all, of us feel like running because we feel inadequate, unworthy and all together unqualified for the task. We are not alone. Even the Old Testament prophets felt so inadequate too. Each of us has good reason to feel unqualified because we all have our mistakes. However, our inadequacy is more than compensated by His adequacy.See Moses, when God called him from the fiery bush, Moses was eighty years old yet he felt very unqualified and inadequate. Moses gave so many excuses. In Exodus 3:11, Moses said “Who am I that I should go?” In Exodus 4:1 Moses said “But they won’t listen to me and they won’t believe me.” In Exodus 4:10, he said again “But I don’t speak good.”Despite the feeling of inadequacy that Moses felt, in the end God used Moses mightily. Through obedience to the call upon his life, he became one of the greatest heroes of the Old Testament. When God calls He knows what He sees in you and all your excuses are not adequate enough

Come Lord JESUS
05/06/2016 Duración: 21minSay HiThe time of one’s youth can be frustrating and challenging too. In Genesis 8:21, God said, “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” and Paul in 2 Timothy 2:22 warned Timothy to “flee youthful lusts.”Youngsters are however, endowed with much energy and are very daring with heart filled with visions of the future. Such a period is the most valuable period to serve the Lord. Solomon in all his wisdom admonished the youth to “remember now your creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, I have no pleasure in them” (Eccl. 12:1).Examples of biblical youths to study are. Joseph who forgave those who wronged him said that his brothers meant what they did to him for evil but God used it for good and to preserve life. David was a man after God’s own heart. As a youth he exercises faith enough to kill Goliath. Josiah was a child when he became king and when he became a youth, he initiated a campaign to purge Judah of idolatry (2 Chronicles

The Ministry of Parenting
29/05/2016 Duración: 28minSay HiDuring Jesus’ earthly ministry, He had interaction with children. He treated the children with love and kindness and blessed them too. The most popular account of Jesus’ interaction with children is found in Mark 10, Luke 18 and Matthew 19. There, people brought little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, but His disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw what was happening, Jesus was very angry with His disciples and He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” He then took them into His arms and placed His hands on them and blessed them.On some occasions, Jesus often presented children before His listening audience as an example of the type of faith adults are to have to enter into heaven. Jesus wants each of us to possess a childlike faith; that is, a pure, unassuming and humble faith is void of pretention or hypocrisy.Let us value our children as Jesus did. Let us serve them by evangelizing them, by educa
