This week Chad preached on the story of the rich young ruler. This is one of the only times in the Bible where someone encounters Jesus and walks away sad. The big question is why? What is he holding onto that makes it so hard for him to accept the invitation Jesus gives him?

This week we had an opportunity to hear from a few of our Campus Pastors at each campus. We always look forward to hear what God has placed on the hearts of our pastors and we hope that you enjoyed this awesome opportunity to hear from a few of them!

This week, Shawn talked about the power of worship, especially when we are in difficult situations. Whether we were the cause of our own pain, someone else or just simply trouble we are walking through because of living in this broken world, we can be overcomers and not victims.

This week, Chad tilted the message, 'Buffalo Soldier' as he likened the spiritual battle to be courageous to the bravery of the buffalo soldiers in the civil war. Each of us have a battle worth fighting for and we are able to walk into the storm knowing the God is with us, for us and will give us strength to face any giant.

We all desire freedom and we all need it. God promises freedom and wants all of us to experience it in and through Him. Freedom from addiction. Freedom from selfishness. Freedom from fear. Freedom from anxiety. Freedom from comparison. But it will take courage to trust God at his word and in the leading of our lives. It will take self-discipline and accountability to take on that which wants to enslave us.

Is it God's approval that matters in your life or others opinions? This week, Shawn tackled the topic of 'approval' that hits close to home for him and for most of us if we are honest. What people think about us matters, but how much do you allow it space in your life to matter?

In this week's message, we look at the other side of the coin in God's invitation to live free. While we are always invited to come to God as we are, with all of our story and without condemnation or shame, we cannot address what it means to live free in Christ without recognizing the presence of sin in this world and in our hearts.

In this week's message, Chad takes us back to the Garden where it all began. Genesis 2:24-25 says that both Adam and Eve were naked, free and felt no shame. As the story progresses, however, we see deception change everything.

In this week's message, Shawn encouraged us to look at Bartimaeus in Mark 10 as an example of someone who first, identified what he needed to be set free from and second, asked Jesus to set him free from it.

We're so excited to celebrate Christmas Eve with you as a church family this year. We gather together just the way we are - with all of our problems, our blessings, our hurts, and our joys - to celebrate "Immanuel, God with us!" (Matthew 1:23).

This weekend, Chad followed up last week's message on holy irresponsibility with the challenge to walk in a perpetual state of holy inconvenience. In our culture today, we don't have much patience for being inconvenienced-especially during the holidays. Yet as a result of our hurried search for convenience, we can miss the opportunity to be generous.

This weekend, Chad talked about how the grace of giving is a catalyst to change lives for God's glory, including our own lives. Yet one of the many hurdles in talking about generosity, is how it can first appear completely fiscally irresponsible to the less mature or hard-hearted believer.

This week, Shawn kicks off the series talking about giving as a grace and how our own lives are changed in the process of trusting God with our finances. The act of giving has to do with the condition of our hearts, not our bank accounts.

Doug opened this week's message asking the question, 'How do we love in a world where people hurt each other?' He encouraged us that with 'thick skin and soft hearts, we can't lose!'

This week, Chad spoke about the power of thankfulness. We can go through trials, yet remain full of joy and thanksgiving to God and what He has done inside of each and every one of us who know him.
