In this week's message, Shawn reminded us of our 'gift and call' as believers. The gift, is God's free gift of grace that grants the opportunity for eternal life, and the call, is the urgent task of sharing the gift with others. In Paul's letter to the Romans, the two exist together. The gift and the call are like salt and pepper, PB&J, or Chad and Shawn. One basically does not exist independently of the other.

In this weekend's message, our guest speaker Ryan Leak challenged us to consider how we choose to spend our time. It's not a new question and is probably one you've asked yourself before, but it's a question with convicting and corrective power. What is it that fills the hours of your day?

This week, Shawn kicked off with a message about listening. It's not quite the thing we all want to hear about, because many of us prefer talking. More often than not, we find ourselves venting, complaining, or yelling into the electronic void of Facebook, but listening- listening is a very different discipline to learn. Yet when it comes to our walk with God, it is one of the first and most important things we need to learn.

Our guest speaker this week, Charlotte Gambill, based her message to us on a phrase she heard from God that woke her up out of a dead sleep. It is a question with which we will continue to wrestle in our study today. Who are you in line for?

As we concluded our series, 'I am Home', we focused on the theology of celebration. We serve a God who celebrates when the lost are found. God desires to commune with us and it pains his heart when we are far from Him.

This week, our campus pastors gave us a 30,000-foot view of the story of the prodigal son in its context of all the parables in Luke 15.

This week, Chad reminded us that the local church is to be a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints. Being a hospital, means we are a place where we can help people in need, walk alongside them through the restoration process and ultimately help them find a place to serve others. The local church is a beautiful expression of restored people being used by God to restore others.

Shawn continues our series looking at the significance of the moment when the son and the Father reunite.

One of the most memorable mountain-top stories in the entire Bible is the epic showdown on Mt. Carmel between the prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal. This week, Chad spoke about this intense face-off and the experience Elijah had on the mountain getting to witness the Lord's provision in such a powerful way.
