High & Tight

Now batting... episode 286. Buckle up, ladies and gents. 286 is deep deep deep, deep into baseball. Benny and RZ talk Red Sox/Yankees/Astros/Dodgers/Braves/Brewers playoff set ups. This episode takes place DURING the hot hot playoffs.  And there is a particular amount of time devoted to speaking about Bob Ueker, and his timeless sickness on the mic. There's also a great deal of shit talk about baseballs biggest bitch... Manny Machado. Spoiler alert: You'll get the same amount in Ep 287.  Might be worth listening to both.

285 is pretty straightforward. MLB Playoff chatter. Playoff predictions galore. If you want the inside track on who's gonna win each series, then listen to this episode. Let is also be known, that Benny surfaces a very intelligent fact: Robin Yount is the Larry Bird of baseball.Very astute. There's also a great fan mail from Rutger Hauer. He asks who the slickest looking players in the 3 major sports are. That's a toughy. Anyhow, listen in, and listen well.

284 is great. Benny and RZ look in live, as the Red Sox clinch the division. That's pretty sweet. They then talk about winning, and how the New England area has become very proficient at doing so. Then they talk NFL kickoff, and how endlessly sweet the "Are you ready for some football" song is. That track is timeless. Get over it. Cripes, let's just cut to the chase here: The fellas talk about, and play a clip of one of the many many slick stories that Peter O'Tooler and Richard Harris tell, about getting drunk together. That's the real magic here. Listen up. 

Episode 283 is here. It's hot hot hot off the press. Extra extra! Real all about it!!! Episode 283 is the shiiiiit! Benny and RZ talk a little bit about the start of the NFL Season. Pats won game 1, obvi. Turns out, Benny now wants to get a Raiders hat. Old school, NWA style. Something tells me, he's gonna get it... at a discounted rate. They also talk about Usain Bolt, and how he's faster than a Cheetah in its prime. Oh yeah, they talk about "money ball" and its hilarious. THEN they talk about the Sox, and the slick slick slickness of Brandon Phillips. The close out discussing the Jack Ryan show, as well as Ozark. Both are good shows, just like High & Tight. Listen immediately.

So here's one for ya: Episode 282 is really good. Just like every episode. You should listen to it. Benny and RZ discuss the sweetness of The Hunt for Red October. RZ had never seen it all the way through, though he'd owned it since it came out on VHS. They also do a pretty funny bit about how stupid certain governments are for sending idiots after Jason Bourne. SO dumb. They also do a little pre-talk about the Jack Ryan show. There's a little MLB update in their too. That's what the show is about, so you should expect that by now.  They also talk a little about the real Doc Holiday. They close out with a little Alec Baldwin love. Get into it.

Episode 281 is awwright awwright. It's in the house. That's an understatement. 281 is fantastic. Listen to it. The proof is in the pudding. Benny and RZ both talk about the little vacations they took. Benny traveled up to NY, and BOS. Most importantly, he had the opportunity to hit up the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. What a lucky duck. RZ went to SEA for Seafair, and got to check out the Blue Angels. Both stories are primo for real. After that, they do a review of the new Mission Impossible, and that's about it. Then they pretty much talk about baseball. Specifically the red hotness of the Red Sox, and the hotness of certain MLB players. Spoiler alert: They're dudes. 

280's for the ladies! Episode 280 is ANOTHER good one. Benny and RZ talk about RZ's wood bat league, and his sweet sweet offense. They also talk about professional baseball. Just a quick check in at the half way point of the season. Red Sox are winning and theeeeeee Yankees are losing. Not totally. They're playing better than most teams, but the Boston Boys are playing better. Shaq O'neal calls in to the show as well, by the way. That was a pleasant surprise. This kicks off some great Tombstone dialogue, which most would find entertaining. Annnnd they close out with some sweet information about Bob Ueker. Real good stuff. 

Here's a little math for ya: Episode + 279 = go time. Get ready for the second most recent episode of High & Tight. Benny and RZ talk about Robocop and ED 209 in the very episode! Seriously. They also talk about air conditioning units because why? It's hot like a furnace these days. There's a baseball check in, of course. Pre All-Star game talk 'n such. Oh yeah, Benny talks about some filthy shades he just bought too. Sadly, Benny ALSO talks about running into Bo Jackson at work... and not saying a goddamn word to him. It's ok. He was scared, and you'd be too, so get off his ass.  Anyhow. Good shit. Oh yeah. Quality fan mail too. 

278 is here, at long last. It's good. It's very good. RZ talks about his quick visit to Seattle.  Watching the Red Sox/Mariners n such. Drinking on a boat like Bruce Wayne. The usual. Both Benny and RZ discuss the new Jurassic Park. Specifically, they discussed how garbage shitty it was. Oh yeah, and Benny met Red Sox legend Dustin Pedroia. That story is sweet. Because it's Dusty. Then the boys start talking about how stupid Hanny Ramirez is, for being involved with drugs. Listen.

Soooooo 277 is really fantastic. I'm serious. The fellas discuss the upcoming TV mini series, "Yellowstone". It's written and directed by Taylor Sheridan. Benny and RZ have discussed this dude before. Good news: He's awesome, and his show will likely follow suit. THEN they talk about the new Mission Impossible. Both Benny and Z are looking forward to it. Their dialogue will prove it. Pretty entertaining shit. I'm honestly re-listening to it now, and I'm laughing. ANYHOW, they close it out talking about how sweet Jeremy Irons is in Die Hard with a Vengeance. Just listen. It's awesome. 

Hello everyone. 275 is here! Finally. This one was particularly sweet, so we released it later than 276.  That's how good it is. Benny and RZ do a sweet Solo preview. They talk about how sweet the Sox are.  Nothing new there. They ALSO talk about Ichiro and Andre the Giant. Oh yeah, and they talk about 1993 MLB Superstars, and 1996 MLB Super Sluggers. Those videos are better than most of the shit people watch. Dang. Anyhow, I have nothing funny to say here. The only real funny thing is if you don't listen. I would find that funny. Also shocking. 

Oh man. Oh man. 276 is something else. Seriously. I probably shouldn't spoil it... Ok ok. I'll give you some hints: (1) MAYBE Benny and RZ watched Solo, and talked about it? Maybe they didn't? (2) MAYBE that evolved into them reminding people how shitty The Last Jedi was? (3) And maybe, JUST MAYBE they talk about the Celtics and Red Sox? I don't know! You gotta listen for yourself.  OH shit. There's a fan mail too. It's great. 

274 is a delightful episode. It's just delightful. Randomly, Benny and RZ talk about Russell Crowe? Specifically, Master and Commander? Anyhow. It's good. Get over it. The bulk of the show is spent discussing Cobra Kai. The show is positively sick, and Benny and RZ prove it with in-depth analysis. Erin Strawbridge, Karate Kid specialist jumps in to support that claim as well. She majored in Karate Kid in college. FACT. Johnny Lawrence kills bottles of Coors FYI. Finally, the fellas talk about the current success of Boston Sports, and there's a sweet Fan Mail. Get into it. 

Welcome to episode 273.  This installment is fantastic.  I'm being serious here. The show opens with a few new nicknames. Benny has equated himself to John Cutter and he has equated RZ to Casey Ryback.  Very complimentary stuff. They then roll into how excited they are for Solo, and envision what night life would be like in Cloud City. Very interesting stuff there. RZ gets a quick opportunity to discuss the new God of War game, which is super filthy. Following that, they discuss the Celtics success, as well as the Red Sox. Specifically, they get into the Red Sox standings, then talk about how many goddamn offensive categories the Sox are leading in. Hot stuff. Hot stuff. Oh yeah. They talk about the new Rambo. That should be sweet. 

Welcome to 272, everyone! Grab a cup of cocoa, and settle in for a bitchin' episode! Actually it's pretty funny. Benny and RZ get right into Red Sox talk.  Specifically about the newly revitalized Sox/Yanks rivalry. Due much in part to the Joe Kelly Boston Massacre. Lots of action there. People are going to get plunked this season. Count on it. There's some brief steroid talk too. That shit is always fun to listen to. Oh, Ben called someone an "uninitiated dick smoke" at one point. I don't think I need to sell you much further here...Oh yeah. Benny had a baby too. That's pretty cool I guess.  Honestly, kudos to he and E, and Kudos to you for listening. 

271 is great. You think I'm kidding? Think again, pal. Benny and RZ talk about some excellent shit. They do a little research and uncover that RZ MAY have ran into High & Tight All-Star, Tom Knot. A known villain. They also talk about how sweet the Solo trailer makes the film look. You never know though, because we all thought that the Phantom Menace trailer was sweet. Same with the other pieces of shit that came out after! Anyhow, it looks slick as heck. They also talk about Isle of Dogs. It's great, and you should watch it. Oh yeah, and Ready Player One. That movie is ALSO great. You should watch that too. The boys THEN discussed baseball, and how great the Sox are doing. Also Ohtani. Evidently he's good? You tell me. 271 is great, like I said. Listen to it. 

Hey Team - Episode 270 is in the house. You should get in the house, and listen to it, since we're on the topic. Benny and RZ discuss the future of the film industry, particularly as it pertains to Luc Besson. You don't know who is is? Watch The Professional. NOW you know. Shiiiit. Anyhow, they then discuss Disney, and how it invades your privacy from the back entrance. On a sweeter note, the fellas discuss the first week of Major League Baseball. That's right. It's back so hard. SO hard. There's a pretty good fan mail mixed in, which gets a strong conversation started regarding sweet vehicles in film. This is a good one. 

269 duuuuuude! Ladies and gentlemen, the High & Tight crew finally reached Episode 269! At long last... The fellas kick it off with a small discussion about Benny's new housemate, "Gus".  Gus is a jumbo-size sewer rat that decided to post up in Echo Base. That part is funny. They then break down the film Wind River with Jeremy Renner. It's quite good. They then discuss RZ's new baseball team, and his new teammate "Uncle Rico". That's right. The fellas ALSO break of a What Would Pete Do, which is great. Then they talk pro baseball. Bam. That's all she wrote.  

Benny and RZ bring it real hard in Episode 268. It's bananas. They fellas talk about historical shit in baseball, and how it's affected their lives, all the way down to the day RZ's dad was born. They also get into a slick clip from Seinfeld's new show (comedians in the car drinking coffee). RZ describes the highlights of his trip to Atlanta, as well as gives a little insight into his new baseball team. Benny also gets into his night, eating with the former gangster-mayor of CHI. The whole episode is quite funny. Look into it.

Oh thank heaven for Episode 267. Benny B and RZ bring it with gusto this go around. There's much discussion of the forthcoming MLB Season. This includes Spring Training talk, MLB The Show talk, and most importantly... there's discussion of all the filthy filthy shades folks are wearing around AZ and FL. These people can stand on the surface of the sun, and they won't be squinting. Understand? The boys also discuss the antics of Joe Kelly. Turns out, that dude is very very funny. Oh yeah. Benny and RZ provide scientific evidence that Rob Gronkowski is very very good at football, but is also a retard. Get into it!
