However the Lightning would score two more time is in the first to take a 3-1 lead into the second period. Timo would score in the second with his 29th goal of the year to trim the deficit to one goal. In the third period Jonah Gadjovich would get the equalizing goal, while Kahkonen would keep the Sharks alive until the OT period. A night removed one of their more embarrassing losses in franchise history, the San Jose Sharks redeemed themselves in a 6-4 victory over Pittsburgh. Logan Couture lead the way in their final game before the bye week and All-Star break, by scoring five points (two goals, three assists) on the night.
