13/11/2018 Duración: 45minThe Chargers sweep the season series with the Oakland Raiders and get another “boring” win on the road. They answer questions about the bizarre penalty on Russell Okung, how the Chargers will replace linebacker Denzel Perryman and if that was the last we’ve seen of Perryman in a Chargers uniform. The game felt like it was never in doubt and a lot of that had to do with the play of the defense and how that unit is clicking right now. They talk about Melvin Gordon’s outstanding game, the way head coach Anthony Lynn has changed the culture and an unsung hero on the defense so far this season. Learn more about your ad choices. Three Drink Minimum #8: Nice win from the best team in LA
05/11/2018 Duración: 33minNever. In. Doubt. That is my honest feeling about the game yesterday. If you know who makes an extra point, the final drive that Seattle has doesn’t matter. Because you know who didn’t, we had to pretend to be on the edge of our seats like it was a close game. I actually thought the defense played a lot better than the score indicates. Talked a little bit about that. Showed love to Desmond King, but really the defense flying around in general. The first drive was no Bueno, but they cleaned up their tackling and for about 3.5 quarters of the game the defense was really, really good. Seattle was 4-15 on third down and even after that final drive, they only averaged 4.7 yards per play. Don’t be fooled by the final score. Bounced around a little and answered some questions. Because this was recorded yesterday, we talked about you know who a bit and why he was still on the roster. Plenty of people thought the Chargers weren’t good because they hadn’t played anyone. So we talked about the schedule a bit and when

Rest of the West with Kyle Posey
03/11/2018 Duración: 47minWith Matthew Stanley on the bye week today’s Rest of the AFC West pod has a special guest, Kyle Posey. We recorded this the night of the trade deadline so we recapped all the deals that went down. From how Demaryius Thomas leaving impacts the Broncos moving forward, to how the other moves made shapes the rest of the AFC. It’s always fun to poke fun at the Raiders. It’s low-hanging fruit, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not delicious. We finished up with some predictions for the division. It’s a two team race. We were both optimistic that the Chiefs and Chargers would make the playoffs. I am a little more optimistic than Kyle. There’s a lot of division talk stuffed in between. Three Drink Minimum #7: Winners win. Nothing else matters.
22/10/2018 Duración: 34minBack with another victory podcast. These are fun. This one was a roller-coaster. There was plenty to take away from this. Not all good. We actually start out with a question asking what’s going on with Case Hayward. I think it’s as simple as he’s not making plays. He was lucky that Corey Davis dropped a pass on a key third down. It’s pretty clear that the defense is going to have to rely on turnovers and hold teams to field goals. A lot of hope with Austin Ekeler in this one with not a lot of production. To me, it didn’t seem like the offense game-planned for Ekeler to be the lead back. Didn’t seem like there were any adjustments. It’s clear that the team missed Melvin Gordon. They were not prepared to play without him and it showed. I think the Titans offense had a good game-plan. Keep the ball out of Rivers hands. They had five drives of seven or more plays. The Chargers didn’t do themselves any favors by missing tackles. They had to have missed 15 tackles as a team. It was rough. We go through the game,

Three Drink Minimum #6: Is Tyrell Williams the best WR in the NFL?
15/10/2018 Duración: 25minWoo buddy. How about that. Tyrell Williams had his best game of the year. He came down with contested catches. He made plays that we all hope he makes. It wasn't just him. Melvin Gordon was a monster. Desmond King had three huge plays. The team was rolling. In the game recap, I go down the line and talk about how the team played their most complete game of the year. You know how you eliminate putting the onus on your special teams? You score touchdowns. Nobody is talking about missed field goals this morning because the kicker kicked five extra points as opposed to five field goals. Spoke about some of the defensive substitutions as well and how that really helped the Chargers get off of the field. I probably sound like a broken record but the team is at their best when they have all their defensive backs on the field. They fly around. They make plays. I liked how the Chargers came out of the gate reminding us that Russell Okung makes a difference. Back to back runs behind him went for 16 yards ap
