  • S4E24 Two Guys Talk About Fitba

    07/01/2013 Duración: 53min

Krys is away on business, Greig was unavailable, and a last minute transfer coup failed, so this week it’s me and Laurie discussing fitba. In the SPL we discuss Motherwell’s penalty against Celtic; whether it was a penalty and also whether it was on the spot. You can probably guess that I get the rule book out. Niall McGinn’s freekick against Dundee United is compared against Leighton Baines’ freekick against Newcastle. Finally we discuss the Edinburgh derby, and in particular the penalty claim, as well as the challenge from Ryan Stevenson on James McPake. In the SFL Dumbarton burst the charity bet by beating Morton, only to be beaten by Dunfermline in the following game. Queen of the South continue to run away with the second division. In the bottom tier, Neil Alexander was the highlight after his bizarre own goal. We pick the charity bet between us, in the slim hope that we can add to the charity pot. There is no SPL next week, so we have some spare time to discuss Messi winning the Ballon d’or and Terry Bu

  • S2E23 The Best and Worst of Scottish Football in 2012

    31/12/2012 Duración: 01h11min

It’s me, Laurie and Krys in the final podcast of 2012. It’s a busy podcast, with two rounds of SPL games to discuss, on top of our usual charity bet and SPL predictions. Laurie suggested the perfect topic to end 2012 – the best and worst of Scottish football in 2012. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E22 Christmas Puns and the Best Team in 2012

    24/12/2012 Duración: 48min

Greig returns to join Krys and I, with Laurie taking a week off. With Christmas tomorrow, one of our topics is football related Christmas puns. We also discuss Kenny Shiels comments that he thinks that Killie achievements in 2012 overshadow that of any other team in Scottish football. Of course Krys gives us his SPL review and I mention the SFL. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E21 A Reffing Disgrace

    17/12/2012 Duración: 57min

This week we have an extended discussion on the SPL. In particular we look at the refereeing performances across the league, and in particular penalty decisions. In the SFL section we discuss Rangers game against Montrose in detail, as well as Montrose’s programme which focussed on Rangers being a new club. It’s a Scottish football podcast, so of course we include WWF and santa chat. We end with the charity bet and our SPL predictions. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E20 Tannadice Boycott and Euro 2020 Proposal

    10/12/2012 Duración: 01h01min

I am joined by Krys and Laurie. Celtic’s victory against Spartak Moscow, and subsequent qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League, is the first item on the agenda. Krys follows that with his review of the SPL and we all discuss the main points from the weekend. I cover the SFL, although the weather meant that there weren’t many games. I was at Rangers vs Stirling Albion, but unfortunately I missed the card display due to a visit to the pub. We managed to fit in two topics this week, with the first being the decision to play Euro 2020 in cities across Europe, rather than using tradition host country(s). We discuss the pros (are there any?) and cons. During the past week Charles Green stated that Rangers would not take up any away tickets for the upcoming tie at Tannadice against Dundee United. We give our opinion on the official boycott. Poor weather meant that the charity bet was null and void at the weekend, but we try again for this weekend’s games. As ever, we end with our SPL predictions for t

  • S2E19 Scottish Cup

    03/12/2012 Duración: 01h01min

There were SPL games midweek last week, so Krys gives us his review and we discuss the main points. The Scottish Cup 4th round took place at the weekend, with the main talking points being Ross County’s draw against Inverness, Arbroath’s draw against Celtic and Hibs victory over Celtic. The 5th round draw took place on Monday lunch time, so we discuss which ties catch our eye. The charity bet had a second consecutive successful weekend, and we hope to make it a third by continuing the method of picking one match each. We end, as usual, with our SPL predictions. Craig Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E18 Is Neil Lennon's Job Under Threat?

    26/11/2012 Duración: 01h01min

Krys returns after two weeks out and joins Laurie and I. Greig is taking a week off. Neil Lennon’s Celtic suffered another home league defeat at the weekend, so a natural topic was to focus on Neil Lennon. Is he still regarded as doing a good job? Is the European run masking his poor league form? Or is everything rosy with the club at the top of the league and still in all three cup competitions? After success in the charity bet, we continue to picking a single team each. With the SPL taking a weekend off, we focus on the Scottish Cup. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E17 Scotland, Leigh Griffiths and the SPL/SFL

    19/11/2012 Duración: 55min

Greig, Laurie and I cover last Wednesday’s Scotland friendly, and I have an admission to make about the game. Krys isn’t on this show, because he was on a Euro trip to see Celtic face Benfica in the Champions League. This means that Laurie does the SPL roundup and it’s full of puns. Laurie’s Tweetie Eye returns, but David Preece is nowhere to be seen (or is that heard?). We choose the charity bet live, after yet another defeat. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E16 Hearts Financial Situation

    12/11/2012 Duración: 53min

Krys was off seeing a random folk singer, so Greig returns to join me and Laurie. Luckily Krys has pre-recorded his SPL review, but that is not the only time you will hear him during this show. You will have to listen right to the end to hear him getting a little excitable during Celtic’s home game against Barcelona. The main topic had to be about Hearts financial situation – what else. Possibly days away from collapse, so we discuss the ins and outs of the situation. Laurie is, as you would expect, very knowledgeable about the topic. Of course we still have the regular SFL review, charity bet and our SPL predictions. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E15 Scottish Cup Upsets (Or Lack Of)

    04/11/2012 Duración: 55min

I am joined by Krys and Laurie, while Greig takes a week off. Due to bonfire night, I suggested that we record on Sunday evening, which explains the early release of the podcast. It was the Scottish Cup third round, so we discuss the lack of real cup shocks and look forward to the draw. The league cup and SPL are also reviewed. We go back to basics with the charity bet, as Paul Band steps in with his selection, which consists of one team from each week. We take turns to predict the upcoming SPL games, although it’s more guesswork for some of us. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E14 Back to the Future

    29/10/2012 Duración: 01h13s

Laurie, Krys, Greig and I (Craig) return once again. Krys delivers his SPL roundup in typically professional style. We then discuss the standout moments of the weekend. I cover the SFL roundup, including a 61 year old stand in assistant referee. Laurie casts his eye over Twitter, in the section called Tweetie Eye. Kilmarnock hadnt won at Celtic Park since December 1955, so we discuss significant moments that have happened since then. Lennon described Victor Wanyama as a £25 million player. We ask whether this was an accurate assessment. I pick the charity bet once again and base my selections on teams I can pronounce. We conclude with our predictions for the upcoming SPL games. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E13 Goal Celebrations and the Cost of Football

    22/10/2012 Duración: 59min

Krys returns after his nose job, so naturally he talks us through the SPL games. The BBC recently did a report on the cost of attending football matches, so we discuss the findings. The weekend past seen some interesting goal celebrations (Ambrose being a standout), we discuss some memorable celebrations. I also list the dangers of extravagant celebrations. Krys takes his turn on the charity bet, after another failure. We finish by looking ahead to Celtic against Barcelona, as well as the upcoming SPL games. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E12 Scotland Special

    16/10/2012 Duración: 01h10s

Krys is missing due to his nose job, so it’s me, Krys and Laurie. Scotland faced Wales and Belgium in an away double header, so naturally that is the focus of the podcast. Lauri’s Tweetie Eye returns. I can’t say whether David Preece receives another mention. You will have to listen to find out. Laurie picks the charity bet, after Scotland, and Greig, let us down last week. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E11 Football Songs

    08/10/2012 Duración: 49min

Krys is off having a nose job this week, but it doesnt stop him from delivering the SPL roundup via pre-recorded review. I lost the charity bet last week, so Greig takes over the reigns. Laurie continues to edit the podcast and it has a less lazy feel than when I did it. Songs with a football edge is the main topic of the day, with Greig coming up with a few good Aberdeen ones. Once again, we appreciate any comments you have on the show. It’s international football next weekend, so we have decided to leave next weeks recording until after the Belgium game on Tuesday. Will we be celebrating, or commiserating? I think we know the answer. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E10 Negative Vibes From the Stands

    01/10/2012 Duración: 01h01min

Greig is missing due to parental duties, but Krys returns from his Holidays. Laurie also joins us to complete the threesome. Laurie takes over the editing this week, and he makes a good job of it. Gone are the days of my magic button, and instead we have background music and wee tunes. The main topic this week focuses on negative vibes from the stands and whether that affects the players. We won the charity bet last week, so I get to pick it again since it’s winner stays on. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E9 SPL, SFL, League Cup and the Scottish Cup

    24/09/2012 Duración: 30min

Laurie provides the SPL roundup and I provide the SFL roundup. It seems to be a laugh at Rangers special this week, but I will ensure it doesnt happen next week. To end the episode, Greig shows us his beatbox skills, which is definitely a must listen. Beware of some foul language on this weeks episode. Next week will hopefully be obscenity free. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E8 Footballers are D**ks

    17/09/2012 Duración: 47min

Laurie takes over Krys' duties this week and gives us the overview of the weekend’s SPL games, before we discuss them in detail. We discuss the situation between Craig Levein and Steven Fletcher and Greig sums up the situation by declaring that “footballers are d**ks”. The charity bet fails once again, but Greig still attempts to pick three games for our tenner bet. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E7 Reaction to the Draws Against Serbia and Macedonia

    11/09/2012 Duración: 44min

Laurie makes a return to the podcast, joining Greig and Craig. Krys is on holiday. We discuss the fallout of the draws against Serbia and Macedonia games. Is our campaign over already? Should Craig Levein go now? And, in Greig’s case, do we care? Laurie picks the charity bet this week, and with his gambling history, we will hopefully do well. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E6 Early Scotland Memories and the International Break

    03/09/2012 Duración: 49min

The dream team return, and after a false start, we start with Krys’ review of the European, League Cup, SFL and SPL games. This coming weekend is an international break, so we discuss our early memories of Scotland and also discuss Scotland’s upcoming games. In the SPL predictor, thefootygaffa won the August prize and he offered his prize money to the charity bet, which we are very grateful about. He also sent in his suggestions for a bumper charity bet. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

  • S2E5 The Youth of Today

    27/08/2012 Duración: 52min

The dream team return – Craig, Greig and Krys. Youth seem to be given the chance throughout Scottish football, so the time is right to discuss why this is happening and the benefits this brings to the national team. The charity bet has predictably failed, but we try again. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.
