Children’s worship is ever changing, from the days of Father Abraham to the days of Hillsongs Kids, we have seen major transformation. How can you mold a worship experience that children will never forget? How can you see transformation in the heart of a child as well as the style of music? We will explore the latest worship models, ideas to teach kids worship, and the most advanced tools used for worship today, including a segment on media. This class is a reminder to each of us that we are to continually share God’s word with our children. We will be specifically looking at Deut. 6:7 where God makes it clear as to when we should share, and what we should share with our children. Discover ways to equip parents and help them recognize the importance of primary spiritual leadership of their children. From the time Craig began doing puppets in kid’s church at the age of twelve, he felt called to full time ministry; oddly enough, it just took him awhile to figure out that he was called to full time ministry to kids. It was while serving in variety of venues that he was reminded how amazing it is to see the spiritual lights go on in a child’s life, and how important it is to reach these young hearts while they are still tender. We all work with many generations of people in our ministries, especially when it comes to building volunteer teams. The challenge in each generation is starkly different. To effectively build our teams we must learn how to blend the different generations together. In this workshop, we will look at the characteristics of each generation, how to effectively blend the generations together to increase involvement of people volunteering in children’s ministries, team building, relationship building, and the overall message that your ministry is sending to each generation.
