But Jesus shows us that we can be be human, and make sins, commit mistakes as humans do, and still show and be testament to our faith. We may find ourselves, like the man who has somehow failed in 38 years to make it to the healing pool, making excuses for why we haven't been to really try to achieve what we need to do.
