Returning to Prayer
24/02/2009It is so easy for us to get lazy in our prayer lives. But when we really need an intervention from God in our life, we need to return to what the Bible describes as supplication and importunity. This type of prayer can get God's attention and cause him to act.

Our Spiritual Armor
16/02/2009It is critical that we understand what we have in the way of spiritual armor. We also need to understand how to use it and what the word really means as it is explained in Ephesians chapter 6.

We need the Spirit
10/02/2009There is only so far that we can go in our Christian life under our own strength and power. If we continue to desire to draw closer to God and serve him in a greater way, we need to learn to live and walk in the Spirit

A Prideful Nature
02/02/2009Sometimes we get to a point in our life where we start to think more of ourselves than we should. It's not just thinking highly of ourself that is the problem, it's also thinking lowly of others.

Establish a Memorial
26/01/2009Joshua established a memorial of 12 stones when the Israelites crossed the Jordan river. This was so that future generations would know that God had done something mighty for them. We need to do the same thing in our life so that our children and grandchildren can increase their faith in a God that is still in control and still wants to do wonderful things.
-
God of Purpose
26/01/2009Our God is a God of purpose. Everything he does is for a purpose and is not a reaction to circumstances in our life. He has a purpose for each person that is called.

Suffering for the Name of Jesus
12/01/2009Jesus warned us that since he was persecuted, we would also be persecuted for identifying ourselves as a Christian. The word also tells us that if we are ashamed of him, he'll be ashamed of us. We have to choose who we would rather keep a good relationship with. Jesus or our non-christian friends or co-workers that would persecute us.
