The prayer found in Daniel 9 is one of the most powerful and profound penitential prayers in all the Bible, and it has dramatic application to our lives today!

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:14, 1 Corinthians 1:22-23. The Fingerprints study today will show us the Lord Jesus risen from the grave, gloriously exalted at the Father’s right hand and returning soon! Why did Jesus refer to Himself so often (81 times in the Gospels) as "The Son of Man?" The answer lies in a dream God sent to Daniel almost six centuries earlier!

For some people, politics becomes their god. But Daniel, promoted to the highest office in the land, continued to serve the Living God and trusted in Him for deliverance from jealous enemies.

The apostles knew it was important for us to grow in our faith. God doesn’t want us to remain baby believers, or merely converts. His desire is for us to mature in Christ! And in this crazy day in which we live, it is especially important that the children of God be fully mature, fully grown up in Christ, prepared for what is ahead.

Belshazzar celebrated his reign in pride and mockery of God... and lost everything. But to those who approach God in humility, repentance, and belief, God offers everything worth having: forgiveness and eternal life!

King Nebuchadnezzar gave powerful testimony to the One God, but only after God first leveled his pride and then restored him to the kingship. Like Nebuchadnezzar, we in the 21st Century are often blind to our own sins of pride, lack of mercy, and moral failure. What will it take to make us see them as God sees them?

Salvation in Jesus Christ is free - but there is a cost to discipleship. Jesus said, "If anyone desires to follow me, let that person take up his or her cross and follow me daily." Daniel and his companions remind us the the cost can be huge, but the reward is far greater!

In today's message, we see that it was God who gave Daniel the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream -- a dream sent to show that God alone knows the future and that though empires crumble, God's Kingdom will be established forever over the entire earth!

Jesus never promised His followers an easy journey. What He does promise is a great destination, and He assures us of the presence of His Holy Spirit to uphold, to guide, and to reveal, so that His people may be equipped to lead the nations back to Him!

2 Year Gospel Study - week 71 (Friday, 05-09-25) Up To Jerusalem - Teaching 13 Scripture: John 16:1-33, John 17:1-2. In today’s teaching we continue with Jesus and His disciples having finished the Last Supper, Judas has left and Jesus and the 11 are walking towards the Garden of Gethsemane. God’s call is to radical faith - the kind that allows us to stand strong against the enemy - Jesus shares that they hated Him, they will hate them, they persecuted Him, they will also persecute them. Yet, Jesus assures the disciples by telling of the coming of the Advocate - Holy Spirit - who will testify about Jesus and will bring power and strength and truth. This persecution comes but Jesus doesn’t want us to live in fear, but rather to trust and depend on Him. Jesus shares that He must leave, remove His physical presence from the world so that the Father can send the Advocate - Holy Spirit - who will be with us. The Book of Daniel is the story of the collision of two kingdoms, a spiritual war that is still being fought in the heavens and on the earth. In the end, the Kingdom of God wins!

It is one thing to hear what Jesus says - it is another thing to live it. Real faith results in true, Christ-like living. Building one's life on any other foundation is like building a house on sand - the first real storm will sweep it away.
