20/06/2025 Duración: 01h40sUp To Jerusalem - Teaching 19 Scripture: Matthew 28:9-10, 1 Corinthians 15:5, Luke 24:13-49, John 20:19-23 Today we continue with our look at the events of the day of Jesus’ resurrection and those who saw Him that day. Pastor talks about the Gospel writers (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and that their stories were written as eye witnesses . These are the accounts of people who were there. Last class we looked at those who had seen Jesus first that morning, it was the women who came to the tomb and saw Him, but the first of His disciples to see Him was Peter - the one who had denied knowing Jesus 3 times during His arrest and trial. Consider the emotions that had to be going on in Peter’s head and heart since his denial of Jesus and now he’s face to face, one on one with Him. (1 Corinthains 15:5) What was this meeting like….very personal… Then Jesus meet s2 men on the Road to Emmaus, family members, but they didn’t recognize Him. Forty Plus Ten - Week 6: Pierced
15/06/2025 Duración: 25minScripture: Acts 2;22-41 Pastor continues our study of Pentecost with a look at part two of Peter’s sermon as shared in Acts 2 on that first Pentecost. The Bible account of this story tells us that “Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” So let’s dig into what Peter said that pierced their hearts, into what the Holy Spirit was doing and into their response. Then, let’s see what we can learn. In part one of Peter’s sermon in Acts 2, he shared the story of Jesus’ incarnation - of God coming to earth in the person of Jesus Christ. As we pick up with the rest of this sermon, Peter is talking about how Jesus is the Promised One that fulfills God’s promises made in the Old Testament. Then Peter tells them of Jesus’ suffering and crucifixion and states that they are the ones who crucified Jesus. As we consider this accusation, we ask who did put Jesus on the cross? Was it the Roman rulers who ran the Jesus trial? The soldiers that beat, whip

Rescued by Truth: Week 24
14/06/2025 Duración: 25min"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1). Yet many question this ancient truth written by King David, because a worldview has been accepted and perpetuated. Come discover the truth: God is the Creator! Modern scientific research has shown the universe to be incredibly complex and organized, leading even some atheists to conclude that there must be an intelligent creator. But Scripture goes even further, pointing not only to the obvious evidence of God's "eternal power and divine nature" in the natural world (Romans 1:20), but telling us of the the love, mercy, and salvation a personal God offers us through His Son, Christ Jesus.

Two Year Gospel Study Week 76
13/06/2025 Duración: 01h04minUp To Jerusalem - Teaching 18 Scripture: Zechariah 12:10, John 19:31-42, Matthew 27:3-10, Acts 1:18-19, Matthew 28:1-4, Mark 16:1-4, Luke 24:1-10, John 20:1-18, 1 Corinthians 15:20. Today we look at Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus dies on a Friday and this particular Friday was Friday, the Day of Preparation - the day of preparing the lambs for a special Saturday Sabbath, the First Sabbath of Passover. Following Saturday, the First Sabbath of Passover was Sunday, and this particular Sunday was also a special day as well, it was the Day of First Fruits. Jesus would rise on this day, from the grave, and on that day He would rise as the first fruits of those who rise from the dead. “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of those who slept.” 1 Cor 15:20. Back to our story, John tells us that Jesus’ legs were not broken - something done by Roman soldiers to insure death, but they pierced His side with a spear. This fulfills scripture, “They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn

Armor of God #2 - The Struggle
10/06/2025 Duración: 25minThere is a spiritual war raging around us. The Christian lfe is one of spiritual warfare. We can put on the armor of God to resist the enemy - the devil and all his forces - secure in the knowledge that Jesus has already won the final victory. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground (resist the Enemy), and after you have done everything, to stand. (continue to resisit him)" Ephesians 6:12-13 The enemy is not people the enemy is The Enemy, the devil. We are to NOT to resist those people who are against us, we are to pray for them and desire to reach them with the good news of Jesus, but we ARE to resist the devil. The struggle is real. The devil is evil but he is DEFEATED! And we are to resit him in God's power alone. http://www.awakeusnow.

08/06/2025 Duración: 25minScripture: Acts 2;1-21, Acts 2:17, Hebrews 1:1-2, 2 Timothy 3:1-4, 2 Peter 3. Pentecost is the birthday of the Christian church, but it’s even more than that. Join us as we explore the story of the first Pentecost and specifically focus in on Acts 2;17 “‘In the LAST DAYS,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit on all people.’” The New Testament makes it clear that these are the last days - with the coming of Jesus in the flesh, His ministry, His death and resurrection, His ascension and Pentecost a new era has begun. Beginning then we have entered into the Last Days of what we know of planet earth. Hebrews 1:1-2 tells us “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” 2 Timothy 3:1 says, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusiv

Rescued by Truth: Week 23
07/06/2025 Duración: 25minThe Biblical truth "God is good" is easy to say when things are going smoothly, but what if everything seems to be going against us? In trials and cruel suffering through the ages, believers have found strength and restoration in that truth and can testify that God truly is good. The enemy loves to tell us God’s the bad guy. That’s a lie! The truth is: God IS good and His goodness is incredible.

Two Year Gospel Study Week 75
06/06/2025 Duración: 01h04minUp To Jerusalem - Teaching 17 Scripture: Luke 23:26-34, Mark 15:21, Hosea 10:8, John 19:19-27, Mark 15:29-32, Luke 23:39-43, Matthew 27:45-49, Psalm 22, John 19:28-30., Luke 23:46, Psalm 31:5, Matthew 27:50-54. Today we take a look at a moving, powerful and emotionally packed teaching on the subject of Jesus’ crucifixion. We will explore the accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion using all four gospels as each gives us unique details and special insights. Jesus’ crucifixion was painful, prolonged, humiliating and demeaning, but the four gospel writers do not dwell on the sufferings of Jesus. What they dwell on is what He won for us and what He offers to each of us. Our story opens with Jesus’ walk to Golgotha (Hebrew word - translates to “Place of the Skull” - Calvary - is the Latin word for ‘Place of the Skull.”) As Jesus was brutally beaten, tortured and whipped He is exhausted, weak, in great pain and unable to carry His cross to Golgotha, so Simon of Cyrene is forced to carry Jesus’ cross. Jesus’ first words fro
