God’s love for us is more than we can comprehend, more than we deserve. God demonstrates His love in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us and He desires that we return to Him even to the point of saying that whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. So why – given God’s amazing love for us - do some hesitate to call upon His name, to embrace such true and eternal love? James and his brother John were young, ambitious and wanted to be great. Chuck Eastman reminds us that Jesus never said "don't be great." What he did say was "you don't know what your asking!" James was one of four brothers of Jesus, the oldest of the four, but younger than Jesus. James and the others probably experienced sibling rivalry with their older brother, Jesus, who could do no wrong. James started out an unbeliever, but finished strong – the leader of the Jerusalem church, referred to as James the Just, and said to be the author of the epistle of James. Pastor Harry Li shows us what kind of person James was and what we can learn from him in this message from March 23, 2014.

The gospel of Matthew gives us the best description of Joseph, the father of Jesus and the husband of Mary. It was written primarily to the Jews, and Matthew helps them connect by comparing him to Joseph of the Old Testament. Although there is not much written about Jesus’ father, Pastor Mark DeYmaz explores what kind of person he was just like us. It is always good to pay attention to the qualities in people that enable them to be used by God. Mary, the mother of Jesus had many of these qualities. However, from the Reformation to the present, Protestants have often short-changed Mary by focusing on lesser matters. In so doing, we may have lost sight of why God chose her to bear the Christ child to begin with. In this Missions Sunday 2014 message, Pastor Mark DeYmaz challenges long-held assumptions concerning the Homogeneous Unit Principle (HUP). For decades this principle has been promoted as the modus operandi for those who would plant, grow or develop successful churches in the United States. Far from bashing the HUP, DeYmaz shows how the HUP more accurately and biblically applies to church planting, growth and development today. This week wraps up our study on biblical interpretation. Mark DeYmaz shares more on the conservative Evangelical exegesis that uses a Historical-Grammatical hermeneutic. This message focuses on nine principles that help us to be able to correctly interpret the Bible. This message was the sixth message of the Back to the Bible series and was presented on February 16, 2014.

Continuing in the Back to the Bible series, this message challenges us to proper interpretation when we approach the Scriptures. Pastor Anthony helps us is understand how to the keep the "text" in context as he shares how we consider the historical and cultural settings of each passage and examine whether the passage is prescriptive or descriptive. He demonstrates proper hermeneutics with two popular texts, Acts 1:8 and Exodus 15:22-27. This message was presented on February 9, 2014 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus.

Continuing to look at the governing principles used to accurately interpret the scriptures, this week Pastor Harry shows us how to use the grammatical-historical hermeneutic on a well-known parable from Matthew 20:1-16 and then apply the result to our lives. When you think about it, a simple thing like reading your Bible is not so simple at all. Especially if you desire to really understand and apply what it says. Bible scholars, preachers, evangelists, and commentators, in general, each use various methods of interpretation, called hermeneutics (hur-muh-NOO-tiks). Sometimes different methods give rise to different interpretations so it's important to make a few distinctions. The foundation of our society has huge cracks in it. Culture tells us that there is no such thing as absolute truth. We believe absolute truth does exist, and it exists in the Authority of the Scriptures. Using Isaiah 43 as his text, Mark invites you to enter in to the truth that God is doing a new thing! This message was presented on January 5, 2014 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus.

To mark the worship service before Christmas, Mark DeYmaz celebrates the Gospel of John where the evidence is overwhelming that God has given us in Christ a Savior. The last message of the Christmas series was presented on December 22, 2013 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus.

By reviewing the Gospel of Luke, Pastor Anthony Hendricks introduces us to Christ the man. And while Jesus was fully God, He was also fully man. In the third message of Mosaic's 2013 Christmas series, we consider that in Christ, God has given us a man. This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on December 15, 2013.
