Have They Not Heard? (Romans 10:16-21) - Mark DeYmaz
27/08/2012In this message Pastor Mark breaks down two of four questions (Did Israel not hear? Did they not understand?) that Paul anticipates from Jewish converts listening to (or later reading) this letter, and more specifically his teaching concerning Israel beginning in Romans 9. While Israel has been chosen by God, not all Israelites have accepted the good news (Romans 10:16). This would have caused not only confusion but concern for Jewish converts considering the fact that, in all probability, they would have known and loved other Jews (friends and family, for instance) who were not embracing Christ. How does Paul's teaching affect the nation of Israel and individual Jews in the future? This video was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on August 26, 2012.

How Will They Know? (Romans 10:11-17) - Harry Li
20/08/2012Paul's burden for his kinsmen continues in Romans 10 as he contrasts the difference between righteousness obtained by the Law and righteousness by faith in Christ and the fact that there is no distinction in God's eyes between the Jew and the Gentile. As a result of the this great truth, Paul lays out the process through which we are to go and bring the good news to others. Presented on August, 19, 2012, Pastor Harry practically demonstrates this passage using the example of the fresh return from the field of Czech Republic Short-Term Missions Team.

Concerning Misplaced Zeal (Romans 10:1-13) - Mark DeYmaz
12/08/2012Pastor Mark explains the concern of Paul for the Jews, who were seeking righteousness through works according to the Law and not through faith in Jesus Christ. Like those of whom Paul writes, many today say they believe in God but seek Him on their own terms, i.e., with a misplaced zeal. Learn just how they do and why the distance between heaven hell is just twelve inches or so: the distance between the head and the heart. This message was presented on August 12, 2012 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus.

Israel's Pain, Our Gain! (Romans 9:22-33) - Anthony Hendricks

In chapter 9:22-33, Pastor Anthony encourages the Little Rock campus to avoid such apostasy, while plugging into God's eternal plans and purposes for their lives. This message was preached on August 5, 2012

God's Sovereignty (Romans 9:1-29) - Harry Li
30/07/2012Even the most mature believers are left with mystery in their hearts and minds as they ponder the depth of the sovereignty of God described in Romans 9. The reality is that we cannot claim the wonderful promise of Romans 8:28 (… all things work together for the good), without the backdrop of evil, pain and injustice that accompanies a fallen world. In this message, pastor Harry Li, relates the mystery of the sovereignty of God to the fulfillment of His redemption story and the cross of Christ, and ties God's sovereign purposes to the suffering of today. This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on July 29, 2012

Willing to Die (Romans 9:1-3) - Cesar Ortega
23/07/2012Pastor Cesar brings presents the text from Romans 9 that exposes Paul's passion for the gospel. The Apostle was willing to die that those lost could be brought into the Kingdom of Christ. How about you? What is your level of sacrifice to see that others are served and Jesus is glorified? Presented in Espanol and translated into English by Elisabeth Ortega, this message also features a brief testimony from June Hardin and was presented to Mosaic's Little Rock campus on July 22, 2012.

Down, But Not Out (Romans 9-11) - Mark DeYmaz
15/07/2012If you were a Jew living in the time of Paul and listening to or reading his letter to this point, how would you feel? In what ways would you be discouraged; how might you be encouraged; and what does the future hold for Israel in light of God's past promises to her? In this message, Pastor Mark overviews the big picture themes of Romans 9 - 11, chapters specifically focused on the implications for the Jews (Israel) in light of Paul's teaching. At the end of the day we learn God's precepts are true, His purposes are just, and His promises are sure. This message was presented on July 15, 2012 as part of the Romans series.

God's Endless Love (Romans 8:32-39) - Anthony Hendricks

As Pastor Ant closes out Romans chapter 8, he walks the congregation through the crescendo of God's amazing love as seen in verses 31-39. He encourages God's people to rest assured that His love manifests itself in that fact that He is for us, gave Himself for us, chose us, intercedes for us, keeps us, and that He makes us super-conquerors in Christ Jesus! This message was presented on July 8, 2012

Predestination, Foreknowledge & Calling (Romans 8:28-31) - Harry Li
02/07/2012Pastor Harry Li takes a look at a very complex topic and separates the truths of God's word from the controversies and distractions that normally cloud the issues of predestination, foreknowledge and calling from Romans 8:28-31). This message, which was presented on July 1, 2012 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus includes a cameo appearance by Harry's dog "Scout" who helps make the point.

Honor (Romans 8:14-17)-Mike Clowers
18/06/2012On Father's Day, Mike Clowers shares that honor was God's idea and it started with the 5th commandment. Using the example of the sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Mike establishes that honoring our parents is not suggested but commanded. He looks scripturally at the three gifts we should give to our parents: understanding, compassion and forgiveness. This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on June 17, 2012.

The Holy Spirit - Harry Li
03/06/2012In this last part of a two part mini-series on the Flesh and the Holy Spirit, Harry Li presents an overview of the work of the Holy Spirit. It is impossible for the believer to mature without the work of the Holy Spirit. At the same time many believers either ignore totally this often misunderstood part of the Godhead or live for the experience and the power of the Holy Spirit without the brokenness or humility of Christ. Harry explains what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit in our lives and how we can hinder His work. This message was presented on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Mosaic's Little Rock campus.

A Message of Freedom (Romans 8:1-4) - Anthony Hendricks
21/05/2012"There is therefore now no condemnation..." That's great news, but how does that knowledge translate into how we live? Pastor Anthony encourages the Little Rock campus to walk in the freedom afforded them by their personal status "in Christ". Christ-followers are free to engage the culture for the cause of Christ, rather than being trapped by the internal battle of sin, guilt and shame. This message covers Romans 8:1-4 as Mosaic continues our series in the book of Romans.

Beyond Theology (Romans 8)-Mark DeYmaz
14/05/2012For many believers, Romans 8 is a favorite passage, and it's easy to see why. The fulcrum of the entire book, this chapter speaks to many areas of theology including Christology, Hamartiology, Soteriology, and Eschatology, to name a few. But beyond the scholarship, Paul wants us to be "convinced" of God's mercy and grace ... that which is operative and unalterable in the lives of all those who are in Christ Jesus. In this sermon, too, Pastor Mark explains what some have called a "Rejection Cycle." How wrong thinking sabotages relationships, and the importance of understanding our identity in Christ. This is what Paul really wants you to know!

The War Within (Romans 7:7-25)-Mike Clowers
07/05/2012The Apostle Paul lived in the Light of the transforming power of the gospel and he had such sin-sensitivity when the Holy Spirit brought sin to his consciousness, it grieved his soul. What does Romans 7:7-25 tell us about cultivating this same sin-sensitivity? This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on May 6, 2012.

Giving With a Willing Heart (Romans 7:1-6)-Mark DeYmaz
01/05/2012In this three part message rooted in Romans 7:1-6, Pastor Mark first teaches us to walk with God not because we have to but because we want to in response to His great love for us, i.e., the forgiveness of our sins. Then, switching gears, he provides a financial update and pastoral challenge to members of Mosaic challenging the body not simply to watch what is happening but to get in the game. In so doing he demonstrates the prophetic voice of the church, i.e., its growing reach and influence on the American (Global) Church as we address the question, If the kingdom of heaven is not segregated then why on earth is the church?

Don't Fight Against Sin (Romans 6:12-23)-Harry Li
23/04/2012Don't fight against sin... instead yield to righteousness! In Romans 6:12-23, Paul describes the sanctification process for believers. It is opposite of the process we naturally think is needed to "sanctify ourselves." In this message, Pastor Harry Li summarizes the two identities of Romans 6:1-11, and then talks about the process necessary for us to become sanctified according to Paul's counter-intuitive method of growing in Christ This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on April 22, 2012.
