In the second week in our series on Leadership at Family Bible Church we explore the biblical model for qualified leaders (elders) who are servants and submissive to one another out of reverence for Jesus.

What does it take to be righteous? The Bible says it clearly: Jesus. Philippians challenges us to lean into the grace of Jesus and cast out any self-righteous garbage in our life!

What part of our salvation are we responsible for? Today we learn that we are to cling to Jesus alone as we offer all that we have for His glory in this life.

What is the position we are all called to aspire to in this life together? The world gives us many answers, but we see one clearly in the Bible: we are called to be humble.

How do you live your life as a Christian? God calls His people to live a life worthy of the Gospel, which is impossible to do without Jesus Himself.

One of the problems we may encounter in following Jesus is that some of the people also following Jesus seem to be in the way. The Bible tells us we do not need to worry though because if we are following Jesus then we are all on the Same Team.

As we start a new series studying the letter to the Philippians we recognize that God works powerfully in times of transition. To this end God surprised us with a message of what it looks like to use our gifts to serve and what it means to worship God fully.

We have all been told we should honor our mothers, and today we see in Scripture that when we do this we honor God Himself.

As we continue to consider the power and reality of Easter we remember the promise of Jesus upon His resurrection: that we would be clothed in His power. The reality of the Holy Spirit in our lives allows us to not just live our life, but to Fly High we RISE in Christ!

What tough stuff are you dealing with in your life? As we approach Easter we see Jesus demonstrate His way of dealing with hardships as He fixed His eyes on Jerusalem to bear the sins of the world.
